An embodiment relates generally to a method of monitoring playback of content. The method includes providing for a file of content and embedding a playback counter in the file of content, the playback counter associated with a vendor. The method also includes distributing the file of content with the playback counter without restriction and incrementing a value of the playback counter in response to a viewing of the file of content with the embedded playback counter. The method further includes forwarding the value to the vendor to determine a payment to an author of the content.

Encouraging content distribution without restrictions

An interface engine is configured to generate a user interface on a display coupled to an electronic device. The interface engine is configured to display characters, in the user interface, that may input into the electronic device. The interface engine is configured to generate the user interface to include character sections. The interface engine is configured to associate a sub-set of the characters with each character sections. The sub-set of characters included in each character section can be based on the frequency that the characters are used and/or the patterns in which the characters are used. Additionally, the sub-set of characters associated with each character section can be selected by the user.

Generating a visual user interface

System and method for verifying compatibility of computer equipment with a software product. A system and method are provided to verify compatibility of computer equipment with software. This verification can include gathering information about configurations of the computer equipment, and creating at least one file based on the information. The file or files coordinate testing of the computer equipment. The testing produces results that can be stored and analyzed or evaluated. The results can be contained in a file or a plurality of files. The results provide a description of the configurations in addition to an indication of whether the testing has produced any failures. The configuration descriptions or parts thereof can be stored in a configuration database that can be used to apply credit against future testing of computer equipment so that future testing needs can be reduced.

System and method for verifying compatibility of computer equipment with a software product

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods and systems for dynamically certifying components. Various entities may participate in the certification process. Operational data from live systems in use may also be collected and considered as part of the certification for a component. This information is then gathered into a database, which may be shared or made publicly available over a network, such as the Internet. In addition, in some embodiments, a proposed system may be certified. A proposed configuration may be submitted to a certification service. The certification service may then analyze the proposed system and determine whether there is a sufficient data to certify the proposed system.

Dynamic certification of components

Embodiments generally relate to a method of reducing latency and cost. A device access request is received in a memory of non-local node over a NUMA interconnect from a source node. The device access request is forwarded to an off-node controller from the memory of the non-local node. The device access request completion notification and data is forwarded to the source node.
