A device is able to measure blood pressure from inside a user's ear. In the illustrated example, the device has three components: (1) a pulse sensor attached to an inflatable pipe which is placed inside the ear, (2) an air pump with a controller, and (3) blood pressure estimation modules including processors and computer executable instruction executed on the processors to execute blood pressure estimation algorithms.

Wearable system for frequent and comfortable blood pressure monitoring from user's ear

Embodiments of the present technology include a wearable physiological monitoring device, related algorithms and software that are tied to a portable electronic device for readout. The wearable device can perform real-time measurement of a number of physiological and environmental parameters including heart rate, pulse oximetry, respiration, movement, environmental particulate matter, moisture, temperature (e.g., ambient air and body temperatures) and geospatial location. Some embodiments may establish a physiological baseline for a patient by measuring the above parameters during a healthy state. Collected data can be wirelessly transmitted to a portable electronic device or monitoring and feedback platform where software will analyze the data and make assessments of the device wearer's health based upon the wearer's baseline.

Health monitoring and evaluation system

A computer system for intra-ear sensing and stimulating receives, health data, from an earbud sensor. The system repeatedly calculates an exponential moving average (EMA) of a moving window for the received health data. The system compares each calculated exponential moving average with a lower threshold value and an upper threshold value. The upper threshold value and the lower threshold value are determined based, at least in part, upon a saturation level associated within an amplifier performing the adaptive gain control. When the calculated exponential moving average is larger than the upper threshold, the system decreases a gain associated with the amplifier. When the calculated exponential moving average is smaller than the lower threshold, the system increases a gain associated with the amplifier.

Wearable system for intra-ear sensing and stimulating

A respiration rate measurement apparatus including a plurality of sensors for concurrently generating temperature, pressure and acoustic data representing one or more successive breaths and a method of generating fusion data from the plurality of data streams as a weighted average based on determined correlation coefficients and calculation of a respiratory rate.

Respiration rate measurement system

A system having a scope with a longitudinal length extending between a proximal end and a distal end includes a plurality of markers spaced along the longitudinal length. The system also includes a disassociation and positioning device that is configured to enhance unsedated transnasal endoscopic procedures by at least partially occluding the vision of a patient while enabling body cavity access, and optionally record and sense body functions such as temperature, heart rate and oxygenation of the blood stream. The system further includes a sensor integrated into the distraction device, wherein the sensor is configured to detect the markers on the longitudinal length of the scope.

Multi-use endoscope with integrated device-patient monitoring and patient-provider positioning and disassociation system

TNE provides the opportunity to make the care of children with EoE and other gastrointestinal or aerodigestive conditions safer, more efficient, and less costly while simultaneously advancing our understanding of the pathophysiology and natural course of this condition. A pediatric endoscope was developed to facilitate TNE in children with EoE. The pediatric endoscope (combined gastroscope, bronchoscope, laryngoscope) includes a 3-4 mm flexible, fiber optic endoscope that allows HD TV viewing with the head of a pediatric bronchoscope that allows four way tip deflection, a scope stiffening apparatus to minimize the endoscopes flexibility when needed, a foot and hand activation to allow air/water insufflation and image/video capture, a light source, 2 mm biopsy channel.

Pediatric nasal endoscope, gastroscope and aerodigestive scope

A computer-implemented method for identifying tongue movement comprises detecting an electroencephalography ('EEG') signal from an EEG sensor. The EEG sensor is configured to sense the EEG signal generated by a brain in association with a tongue movement. The method also comprises detecting the EMG signal from the EMG sensor. The EMG sensor is configured to sense the EMG signal generated by cranial nerve stimulation of muscles associated with the tongue movement. The method also includes identifying the tongue movement based on the EEG signal and the EMG signal. The method then includes correlating the tongue movement with one of a plurality of tongue location areas.
