A surgical access device includes a body having a first member and a second member relatively movable between open and closed configurations. Each member is positionable within an opening in tissue to provide access to an interior space of a patient. Each member includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a leading end, and a trailing end. The top surfaces are positioned in close cooperative alignment when the first and second members are in the closed configuration. The trailing ends are positioned in close cooperative alignment when the first and second members are in the open configuration. In the open position, the first and second members define a passage therethrough to permit access to the interior space for passage of a surgical instrument therethrough.

A fluid delivery system (A) is generally directed to allowing fluid sources or other fluid delivery components to be reused with multiple fluid targets (), and includes at least one fluid source () fluidly interconnectable with at least one sterilization zone () and at least one fluid target (). This sterilization zone () could include one or more sterilization systems that attempt to neutralize contaminants entering the fluid delivery system (A) by a backflow from the fluid target (). One such sterilization system (A-D) includes a container (-) and a flush system () for sterilizing the container (-) between uses. Another sterilization system () includes a flowpath () exposed to an output of an energy source () capable of destroying contaminants. Yet another sterilization system could include a sterilizing substance () that engages and moves along an interior surface () of a housing () to treat contamination thereon.

Fluid delivery system with multi-dose fluid source

Handheld dust removal devices that selectively utilize vacuum pressure are disclosed. Preferably each device includes a small lightweight handle that houses a vacuum assembly having an electric motor and a battery. The device further includes a duster assembly for removably holding a dusting cloth or cover, whereby it can be used similarly to a conventional duster. The vacuum source can be fluidly connected to and draw a vacuum airflow through the duster assembly, for example, through and/or around the dusting cloth. In some implementations, this is done by drawing the vacuum airflow toward opposing lateral portions of the duster assembly. Some implementations further include an auxiliary vacuum inlet that is adapted and configured for drawing large particles such as crumbs, hair, and others thereinto. The auxiliary vacuum port can be displaced from the duster assembly, e.g., mounted to the handle or elsewhere, as desired.
