A continuously transposed cable CTC, extending according to a longitudinal development direction (L) and having two opposite longitudinal ends, includes a plurality of strands arranged so to form at least a first and a second adjacent stacks, each extending along the longitudinal development direction (L), wherein said at least first and second stacks form a longitudinal interface therebetween. The CTC cable () further includes one or more optical fibers positioned at the interface between the first and the second stacks. A winding of an electromagnetic induction device, such as a transformer, can be obtained by winding said CTC cable.

An electromagnetic induction device comprising a magnetic core having a limb and at least one winding wound around the limb is presented. A method for manufacturing an electric winding of an electromagnetic induction apparatus includes providing a conductor structure and forming an electric winding by means of the conductor structure. The conductor structure includes a conductor element extending longitudinally along a main extension direction and one or more spacer bands arranged on corresponding lateral surfaces of the conductor element. Each spacer band includes a supporting structure made of electrically insulating material and spacer elements made of electrically insulating material arranged on the supporting structure. The spacer elements are spaced one from another along the supporting structure. The electric winding extends axially along a winding direction and has a plurality of turns arranged around the winding direction. Each turn of the electric winding is formed by a corresponding longitudinal portion of the conductor element. The spacer elements are interposed between adjacent turns of the electric winding at opposite sides of the turns.

The present invention relates to gas-insulated electrical apparatuses, in particular gas-insulated transformers or reactors, comprising a housing enclosing an interior space, in which an electrical component comprising a winding is arranged, at least a portion of the interior space defining an insulation space which is filled with an insulation fluid electrically insulating at least a part of the electrical component from the housing. According to the invention, the electrical apparatus further comprises a cooling element comprising a condenser, an evaporator and a cooling fluid to be circulated between the condenser and the evaporator. The evaporator is designed such that at least a part of the electric component is immersed in the cooling fluid in its liquid state, thus being in direct contact with the cooling fluid.

A method of manufacturing a polymer-insulated conductor. The method includes the steps of a) providing a conductor having a first cross-sectional shape, b) passing the conductor through a conductor-shaping die to shape the conductor such that the conductor obtains a second cross-sectional shape, wherein frictional heat is developed in the conductor, thereby setting the conductor in a heated state, c) applying molten polymer to the conductor when the conductor is in the heated state to obtain a polymer-coated conductor, and d) shaping the polymer-coated conductor by means of a polymer-shaping die to thereby obtain the polymer-insulated conductor.
