The connector for a fluid line of an extracorporeal circuit comprises a tubular body which internally defines a fluid passage, a first connection port predisposed for coupling to the fluid line, a second connection port predisposed for coupling to a male Luer connector borne by an external element, and a closure element of the second connection port. The closure element is formed of a breakable membrane made in a single piece with the tubular body. On coupling, the membrane is broken by the truncoconical projection of the male Luer connector. The connector connects a service line of an extracorporeal circuit to a pressure sensor of a dialysis machine.

Connector for a fluid line in an extracorporeal circuit

A blood set comprises an arterial line having a patient end provided with a multiport connector () having first port () connected to a blood transport tube (), a second port () bearing a male luer connector for connecting to a vascular access device (), and a third port () connected to a service tube () terminating with female luer connector () for connection with a priming liquid supply line. The blood set operates rapidly and with a small risk of contamination for the patient.

Extracorporeal blood set

A transduction-protection device for protecting medical apparatus from contamination by infectious agents comprises a containment body having an inlet destined to be set in fluid communication with an extracorporeal circuit of blood, and an outlet destined to be connected to a fluid line operatively connected to a pressure gauge of a medical apparatus. The inlet is in gas communication with the outlet across an internal cavity of the containment body. Two hydrophobic membranes are predisposed in the containment body between the inlet and the outlet. The membranes each define an anticontamination barrier which is gas-permeable. The device transmits the pressure of the extracorporeal circuit to the pressure gauge, with no relevant loss of head, while at the same time protecting, with a high degree of security, the medical apparatus from risks of contamination by pathogens originating in the extracorporeal circuit.

Transduction-protection device

An integrated module for extracorporeal blood treatment has a flat-shaped support element which exhibits on an internal face thereof a complex of fluid distribution lines and on an external face thereof a high-flow dialyzer. The support element has a base body which exhibits fixture seatings, each of which houses an axially extended tract of a fluid distribution line. The tract of the fluid distribution line, with respect to adjacent tracts, has an increased diameter due to the presence of a junction collar made of a rigid material. Each fixture seating exhibits two axial locators for positioning the axially extended tract of a fluid distribution line in a fixed position. The locators interact with the junction collar, and the distribution lines can be fixed to the base body by a resilient fixture of the junction collars in the seatings without gluing. The module is configured to be mounted on an apparatus for intensive treatment of renal insufficiency.
