The present invention relates to an aqua blue glass composition having a base composition of a soda-lime-silica glass having as main coloring agents total iron, expressed as FeOin the range of 0.30 to 0.60% by weight with a ratio of ferrous (redox) in the range of 20 to 30; FeO in the range of 0.06 to 0.18% by weight; TiOin the range of 0.025 to 1.0% by weight; CoOexpressed in the range of 5 to 30% ppm; Se expressed in the range of 0.1 to 10 ppm; CuO in the range of 0 to 400 ppm; and CrOin the range of 10 to 20 ppm. The glass provides light transmittance, illuminant 'A', greater than 50%, a dominant wavelength (&#x3bb;) of 487 nm to 498 nm; a solar energy transmittance of less than or equal to 64.4%; an ultraviolet solar transmittance no more than 51.6%; and an excitation purity less than 12 for glass thicknesses from 4 to 12 mm.

Aqua blue glass composition

The present invention provides an UV absorbent green solar control glass with low UV transmittance composition having a soda-lime-silica glass composition, wherein the coloring compounds comprises in weight percentage: from 0.50 to 1.30% of total iron expressed as FeO; from 0.12 to 0.45% of FeO expressed as FeO; from about 0.04 to 1.8 wt. % TiO; about 0.20 to 2.0% wt CeO; about 0.0004 to 0.0015 wt. % CuO; and about 0.010 to 0.10% C. The glass composition having a redox value (FeO/Total FeOfrom 10 to 35%.

UV absorbent green solar control glass composition

The present invention relates to a neutral grey glass composition which has a basic composition containing the following main coloring agents: 0.40 to 0.80% of FeO; 0.05 to 2.0% of TiO; 0.2 to 2.5% of ErO; 20 to 200 ppm of CuO; 0.08% to 0 0.1% charcoal; and 15% to 50% of ferrous (redox), in which the glass has light transmission 'A' greater than 65%, solar transmission (T) &#x3c;55%, and ultraviolet transmission &#x3c;40%, having color values a*=&#x2212;4 to 3 and b*=4 to &#x2212;2.

Neutral grey glass compositions

The present invention provides a glass composition having a base glass composition, comprising, in weight percentage, from about 0.005 to about 0.08% wt of ferric oxide, from 0.00002 to about 0.0004% wt of Se, from about 0.00003 to about 0.0010% wt of CoO, from 0 to about 0.01% wt of CuO, from about 0 to about 0.6 of CeO, from 0.02 to about 1 of TiO, and from about 0 to about 2 of NaNO. The glass having a visible light transmission of at least 87%; a ultraviolet radiation transmittance less than 85%; and a solar direct transmittance of no more than 90%.

The present invention provides a dark green colored glass composition having a soda-lime-silica glass composition, wherein the coloring compounds comprises in weight percentage: from 0.71 to 1.50% of total iron expressed as FeO; from 22 to 30% of ferrous-ferric ratio and from 0.15 to 0.50% of expressed as FeO; from 0.10 to 0.20% of SOwithout affecting the refining properties and ability of the SOto eliminate bubbles; about 0 to 1.0 wt. % TiO; about 0.0004 to 0.03 wt. % CrO; and also 0.0004 to 0.015 wt. % CuO.

Dark green solar control glass composition

A method and system feed and burn pulverized fuel, such as petroleum coke, in a glass melting furnace having burners associated with sealed regenerative chambers which act as heat exchangers. The system supplies the pulverized fuel for melting glass raw materials. The emissions of flue gases produced by the combustion process of the fuel in the furnace are controlled in order to maintain clean the flue gases and for reducing the emission of impurities from the fuel such as SOx, NOx, and particulates. The regenerative chambers are manufactured with selected refractories such as magnesium, zircon-silica-alumina, or magnesia and zirconium-silicate, for counteracting the erosive and corrosive effects produced by the combustion process of the fuel in the glass melting chamber. A burner feeds the petroleum coke and simultaneously mixes a primary air and pulverized fuel-air mixture for the burning of the pulverized fuel.

A method and system for feeding and burning pulverized fuel, such as petroleum coke, in a glass melting furnace, which includes a glass melting and a plurality of burners associated with a pair of sealed regenerative chambers disposed side-by-side which act as heat exchangers, the burners are arranged in a series of ports that are associated with the glass melting region of the furnace. The system includes means for supplying the pulverized fuel by each one of the burners for melting glass raw materials. The emissions of flue gases produced by the combustion process of the fuel in the furnace are controlled in order to maintain clean the flue gases and for reducing the emission of impurities from the fuel such as SOx, NOx and particulates. The regenerative chambers are manufactured with selected refractories such as, magnesium, zircon-silica-alumina or magnesia and zirconium-silicate, for conteracting the erosive and corrosive effects produced by the combustion process of the fuel in the glass melting chamber. A burner is also provided for feeding the petroleum coke, the burner including means to simultaneously mix a primary air and pulverized fuel-air mixture for the burning of the pulverized fuel.

An apparatus and method are provided for feeding a pulverized material which includes a first storage container for receiving and for discharging a flow of the pulverized material. The apparatus includes a separation chamber attached to the first storage container, which is alternately filled up or emptied out with the pulverized material. A second storage container is connected with an outlet of the separation chamber, for alternately filling the second storage container in accordance with a predetermined storage amount of pulverized material.
