An air conditioner unit and cover assembly therefore are provided. In one exemplary aspect, the air conditioner unit includes a bulkhead that defines an indoor portion and an outdoor portion of the unit. A wall of the bulkhead defines an opening that is accessible from the outdoor portion of the unit and is sized to allow various components to be accessed, serviced, and assembled through the opening. The unit includes a removable cover assembly that includes a cover and a gasket. The cover assembly and the wall of the bulkhead include various features for sealing the perimeter of the opening and for guiding one or more wires into the opening.

A packaged terminal air conditioner unit includes an inlet conduit coupled to a compressor at an accumulator of the compressor. An outlet conduit is coupled to the compressor at a discharge of the compressor. The discharge of the compressor is positioned at a top portion of the compressor. The outlet conduit extends upwardly along a vertical direction from the discharge of the compressor between a pair of angled segments of the inlet conduit. The pair of angled segments of the inlet conduit is positioned above the compressor along the vertical direction.

An air conditioner unit includes a compressor, an exterior coil, a main interior coil, a main expansion device, a reheat interior coil and a reheat expansion device. The reheat interior coil is positioned adjacent the main interior coil. The main expansion device is connected in series between the exterior coil and the main interior coil, and the reheat expansion device is connected in series between the main expansion device and the reheat interior coil. A reheat valve is operable to selectively adjust a flow direction through the reheat interior coil. The reheat valve is a four-way valve, and one port of the four-way valve is blocked.

A bulkhead assembly includes bulkhead having a first surface facing a first direction and a second surface facing a second direction. The second surface is opposite the first surface. A first connector is disposed on the bulkhead facing the first direction. A second connector is disposed on the bulkhead facing the second direction.

Bulkhead assemblies for air conditioner units

A packaged terminal air conditioner unit (PTAC) and methods for operating the same are provided. A PTAC controller is operably coupled to a proximity indication device for detecting that a proximity trigger condition exists and is configured for adjusting an operating parameter of the PTAC to adjust an outlet temperature of a flow of discharge air in response to determining that the proximity trigger condition exists. The proximity trigger condition may exist when a proximity sensor detects an occupant close to the PTAC, when a user input button is activated, or when a voice command is received.

System and method for operating a packaged terminal air conditioner unit

A packaged terminal air conditioner unit (PTAC) includes a vent aperture defined in a bulkhead of the PTAC and a fan assembly for urging a flow of make-up air through the vent aperture. The fan assembly includes a fan duct fluidly coupled to the bulkhead over the vent aperture and an auxiliary fan attached to the fan duct. An electronics assembly includes an electronics enclosure mounted to the fan duct and defining an electronics compartment having an opening for receiving power electronics for controlling the auxiliary fan. A top plate is attachable over the opening and a seal is positioned between the top plate and the electronics enclosure to substantially enclose and seal the electronics compartment.

Cooktop temperature sensors and methods of operation are provided. An example cooktop appliance includes a cooktop element and a cooktop temperature sensor assembly. The cooktop temperature sensor assembly includes three springs providing support for a platform upon which a cooking vessel rests. The cooktop temperature sensor assembly includes a resistance temperature detector electrically connected to at least two of the three springs. The cooktop appliance includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations include obtaining from the cooktop temperature sensor assembly a plurality of samples of a temperature. The operations include projecting a future temperature based at least in part on the plurality of samples of the temperature. The operations include controlling the cooktop element based at least in part on the projected future temperature.

Air conditioner units are provided. An air conditioner unit includes an outdoor heat exchanger disposed in an outdoor portion, an indoor heat exchanger disposed in an indoor portion, and a bulkhead disposed between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger. The air conditioner unit further includes a pump disposed in the outdoor portion, and a conduit in fluid communication with the pump. The air conditioner unit further includes a receptacle disposed in the indoor portion, the receptacle in fluid communication with the conduit for receiving fluid from the conduit. The receptacle includes a tray defining a channel, and a riser extending from a bottom wall of the tray. The riser includes a raised surface disposed above the bottom wall along a vertical direction. A bore extends through and is defined in the raised surface and the bottom wall.

A packaged terminal air conditioner unit includes a compressor, an interior coil and an exterior coil positioned within a casing. A control board enclosure is also positioned within the casing. A cover of the control board housing is rotatable on a substantially-horizontal axis relative to a housing of the control board housing. A control board is mounted to the cover of the control board enclosure such that the control board is rotatable on the substantially-horizontal axis with the cover of the control board enclosure.

In accordance with one embodiment, an air conditioner unit is provided. The air conditioner unit includes a heater housing having peripheral surfaces defining a housing interior, the peripheral surfaces including a first sidewall and a second sidewall spaced apart along the lateral direction. The air conditioner unit further includes a guide track extending along the lateral direction between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The air conditioner unit further includes a blower fan, the blower fan including a blade assembly disposed within the interior and a motor connected to the blade assembly. The air conditioner unit further includes a heating unit comprising a first bracket and a second bracket spaced apart along the lateral direction. The heating unit further includes at least one heater bank extending along the lateral direction between the first bracket and the second bracket. The heating unit is movable along the guide track.
