Multi-unit cooling systems and structures thereof for residential, commercial, or other buildings. In one embodiment, a support duct system comprises a support duct frame including a longitudinal axis and at least one mounting bracket support, each of the at least one mounting bracket support being movable relative to the longitudinal axis of the support duct frame; and at least one mounting bracket coupled to a corresponding one of the at least one mounting bracket support, each of the at least one mounting bracket being removably couplable to a corresponding cooling unit. Each of the cooling units is independently rotatable relative to the longitudinal axis of the support duct frame.

Multi-unit support duct system

An evaporative cooler having a pressurized water distribution system that provides even water distribution to evaporative media pads within the evaporative cooler, even when the evaporative pads are canted and/or are not in perfect alignment. In one embodiment, the evaporative cooler includes a weatherproof sealing assembly that is transitionable between an open position and a closed position. In one embodiment, the evaporative cooler includes a reservoir having a plurality of ribs on a bottom surface to facilitate seating the evaporative cooler on a roof during installation. A method of installing an evaporative cooler including mounting at least a portion of the evaporative cooler to a dropper before securing the dropper to the roof.

Evaporative cooler

An evaporative cooler having a pressurized water distribution system that provides even water distribution to evaporative media pads within the evaporative cooler, even when the evaporative pads are canted and/or are not in perfect alignment. The pressurized water distribution system generally includes a distribution assembly with a pressurized flow path portion and a non-pressurized flow path portion, and a supply assembly. The evaporative cooler may also include other features that enhance aesthetics and/or cooling capacity, such as supplemental evaporative media pads, a perforated lid, an internal retaining frame, angled louvers, and/or a dropper that allows for a low-profile installation on a roof of a building or other structure.

Evaporative cooler with pressurized water distribution system

An indirect evaporative cooler core is manufactured from a continuous sheet of hydrophobic material. Flocking is provided on at least a partial surface area of at least one side of the sheet, to render the flocked surface area wettable. Air flow guiding structures are formed upon at least one of the first side and the second side of the sheet. Fold lines are defined in the sheet defining plates extending between adjacent fold lines. Slits are formed along the fold lines. Accordion pleating the sheet at the fold lines forms alternating wet and dry passages between the plates, the wet passages formed between opposing wettable surfaces, the dry passages formed between non-flocked surfaces, and the accordion pleating causes the slits in the folds to open and form air inlets and outlets in communication with the air flow passages.

Method of producing a micro-core heat exchanger for a compact indirect evaporative cooler

A method of controlling the operation of an evaporative air cooler where the pads () of the cooler are intermittently wetted with an amount of water () in excess of the capacity of the pads () to absorb and retain during each wetting operation of the pad. The airflow () through the pads during intermittent wetting being limited to a velocity so as to not entrain water in the airflow during the wetting operation and the velocity of the airflow through the pads is increased after each intermittent wetting so as to raise the level of cooling output () of the cooler between each intermittent wetting operation.

Wetting of evaporative cooler pads

A counter flow indirect evaporative heat exchanger () having vertically stacked alternate counter flow wet () and dry () passages where the wet passages are wetted during operation of the heat exchanger by wetting means () travelling vertically of the stack. Elongately wetting of a small plurality of the total number of passages () of the heat exchanger () occurs at a time during vertical travel of the wetting means.

Indirect evaporative cooler construction

A vehicle mirror assembly comprising a reflective element for reflecting incident light, the reflective element having a viewable side, a dimming element for varying the intensity of light reflected from the viewable side, a photo-electric power cell for powering the dimming element for varying the intensity of reflected light and a controller for controlling the dimming element in response to ambient light conditions, wherein, in use, the intensity of the light reflected from the viewable side is reduced in low ambient light conditions. In other embodiments a power source is defined, for providing interment power to power the dimming element for varying the intensity of light reflected, the power being supplied by the photo-electric power cell.

Auto dimming vehicle mirror

The present application includes a vehicle mirror which includes an approach light in the attachment assembly. The approach light is a single light source positionable in relation to predetermined inputs for directing light to various areas, depending on the inputs. Additionally, an intercom system is provided for communication between the interior of the vehicle and exterior of the vehicle, by way of the vehicle mirror. Also, a remote sensor is utilized to set predetermined memory positions of interior vehicle components such as seats, steering columns and brake pedals. This allows customization of the interior components upon an individual's approach to the vehicle.

Vehicle external mirror assembly and method of manufacture

This invention relates to a mirror head () for an external vehicle mirror that comprises a load carrying structure () that is located within the mirror head, a connector () on the load carrying structure () that connects the mirror head () with respect to the vehicle, a shell () forming the external surface of the mirror head () within which at least a portion of the load carrying structure () locates, said connector () being positioned to enable connection with respect to the vehicle, and foam within the internal cavity of the shell (), that acts to bond the load carrying structure () with respect to the shell components (). This assembly provides a lighter mirror head () by comparison to conventional construction techniques while at the same time remaining rigid. It provides a means whereby loads can be transferred to the foam which are in turn transferred to the external shell components () of the mirror head ().

External vehicle mirror and method for manufacture

The present invention is a mould and a method of moulding a plastic component using the mould that enable the manufacturer of a moulded component () which has an external covering. The method of moulding comprises either locating a pre-formed component () into a first part of the mould or vacuum forming a thin film () into a mould cavity. A first mould part () has a mould cavity into which the pre-formed component () is placed or the thin film () is vacuumed formed into. The method continues by partly closing a second part of the mould () into the first part of the mould () and injecting molten plastic () onto the surface of the pre-formed component () or thin film (). The second mould part () is then fully closed to force the molten plastic () to fill the resultant mould cavity (). This bonds the molten plastic to either the pre-formed component () or the thin film () to form the final shape of the moulded component (). Just prior to the mould parts () and () closing, a cutting edge () abuts against and cuts either the pre-formed component () or the thin film (). This trimming occurs around the periphery of the cutting edge (). The moulded component () is then ejected by opening of the mould parts () and (). This process enables the production of a moulded component () with an external covering.

Method of producing a plastic moulded part including an external covering

This invention is a pivot assembly that connects mirror head and a mirror mounting bracket of a rear vision mirror that comprises a spigot , a plate with an aperture that is journalled to the spigot . A detent is located between the plate and the spigot which holds these components together to in turn hold the mirror head in at least one required position with respect to the mirror mounting bracket . The detent changes from a locked position where the plate is held with respect to the spigot to a disengaged position when the plate is rotated with respect to the spigot . A spring acts against the detent to hold it in its locked position. The spring yields to allow the detent to move to its disengaged position as the plate is rotated with respect to the spigot . An attachment mechanism is provided both on the spigot and the plate that allows the spigot to be secured to either one of the mirror head or mirror mounting bracket . The plate also has an attachment mechanism which allows it to be secured to the remaining component so that the mirror head can be rotated with respect to the mounting bracket. The invention provides a pivot assembly which is modular in nature and enables standardization of a pivot between various mirror head and mirror mounting bracket designs.
