A communication module acquires consumption data from a meter, in particular consumption quantities of electricity, gas, water or heat. The communication module serves to receive consumption data from the meter and to enable the transmission of the consumption data of the meter to a superordinate data collection device. The module has a housing, a control apparatus, its own energy source, an antenna, a first communication interface using which the consumption data can be transmitted from the meter to the communication module, and a second communication interface using which the consumption data can be further transmitted from the communication module to the data collection device. The first communication interface is a standardized close-range interface which supports a plurality of standardized transmission protocols as options and/or the second communication interface is a standardized long-range interface which supports a plurality of standardized transmission protocols as options.

Communication module for capturing consumption data from a meter

An energy supply system for a consumer unit with safety-relevant electronic consumers has an energy supply network with a main energy supply source for feeding electrical energy into the energy supply network in the normal operating mode of the energy supply system and an energy detection device for detecting the electrical energy being fed into the energy supply network by the main energy supply source. At least one thermal battery feeds electrical energy into the energy supply network in an emergency operating mode of the energy supply system if the electrical energy being fed into the energy supply network from the main energy supply source is insufficient. A controller switches the energy supply system into the emergency operating mode and activates the at least one thermal battery if the energy which is detected by the first energy detection device undershoots a predetermined threshold value.

Energy supply system for a consumer unit and method for supplying energy to a consumer unit

A method employed for threat analysis based on the passive-radar principle, using the transmitter in navigation satellites, a plurality of receiving stations, which are operated distributed over wide regions, and at least one evaluation center. The receiving stations act as wake-up sensors, transmit their received signals to at least one evaluation center for comparison with expected signals from each navigation satellite and sensing of a threat. Depending on the result, radar systems are operated on a stationary or mobile basis, can then be used with their higher-quality antenna systems on a three-dimensional basis to obtain more precise details relating to a conspicuous entity and the threat which may possibly originate from it in a possible target region or to a mobile or stationary threatened object, and then to make it possible to decide on any currently required protective or defensive measures.

Method for sensing a threat

Items of relative target location information (,) which are obtained on board a platform serving as a sensor carrier (,) for target or position reconnaissance are combined, with association with the navigation satellite system time (,), with items of absolute mission location information (,) which are obtained on board the sensor carrier (,) from the satellite navigation orbit data (,), in order to obtain absolute target position data in which however, due to the system, there is still contained the absolute residual error of the order of magnitude of some ten meters, from the satellite-aided mission location determination. In order that the absolute target position data can also be made still more precise later, for effective use of the artillery (,), at a geodetically accurately known reception location (,) the deviation (,) between the location coordinates (,) and the items of reception location information (,) obtained on different platforms (,) and/or at different times and put into intermediate storage can also still be corrected at a later time by the deviations (,) associated in respect of system time, in order to obtain absolute target position data (,) which are independent of the satellite navigation residual error, for example for comparing the knowledge from the different, even time-displaced reconnaissance missions, for controlling the artillery (,).

Process and apparatus for target or position reconnaissance

A sensor arrangement for an active member, especially such as a landmine which is deployed against ground and airborne target objects, including a waking or proximity sensor which is responsive to the approach of a target object. A high degree in the precision of direction-finding, in addition to target classification; can be achieved by means of a larger passive bearing or direction-finding base, such as can be set up through the positioning of at least three microphones about the mine or at a certain distance from the mine. Hereby, such a passive acoustic direction-finding or bearing base evidences the advantage in contrast with essentially the active high-frequency direction-finding, in that the mine cannot be located from the target object and thus is able to remain in constant operation upon the activation of a waking or proximity sensor without any danger of the mine having its presence betrayed. For a remote distance resolution for a multiple target-recognition, there must be evaluated a larger passive measurement base, as a result of which this evaluation, for instance, is then operatively associated with the active sensor (radar).

Sensor arrangement, especially for a landmine

A sensor arrangement for the sensing, through the intermediary of the intermediary of high-frequency of an actual threat against an object which is equipped with a receiver device by an attacker penetrating into a radio link. The arrangement has the receiver device designed for the receiving or pickup of radio reception links from a plurality of satellites operating at the same or different frequencies, and which includes at least one comparator stage for the evaluation of the radio reception link which has been influenced by a penetrating potential attacker in comparison with an uninfluenced radio reception link.

Sensor arrangement for sensing a threat

A sensor arrangement for the activation or starting of an active body, especially for a land mine which is deployed against ground and airborne targets. The arrangement includes a waking sensor which is responsive to the approach of a target, and incorporating circuit arrangements for the environmentally-adaptive setting of sensor-evaluating circuits in order to release the operating mechanism employed for combatting the target. Provided is at least one antenna for the radiating of a nondirectional electromagnetic ground or direct wave (which hugs the terrain), and possibly also for the receipt of reflections from the surroundings after the deployment of the active body, as well as after activation by the waking sensor, also for determining the relative movement of a target which has penetrated into the previously encompassed surroundings, due to the reflections thereon.

Sensor arrangement for the activation of an active body

A method for the attacking of a target object from an overflying projectile, and wherein the projectile is equipped with a target detector for the activation of its warhead. Moreover, there is disclosed an overflying projectile which is equipped with a downwardly oriented target detector and with a warhead which is activated in dependence upon the target detection for the attacking of the target object. The method contemplates that the projectile be guided into a lower altitude of flight for the scanning of the target area, and upon detection of a target object is pulled up steeply into an ascending path, which has its tail end oriented towards the target object, so as to launch the warhead opposite the direction of flight which is in an ascending trajectory from the tail end of the projectile in a direction towards the target object.

Method for the attacking of a target object from an overflying

A test facility, especially for the seeker or search heads of intelligent guided ammunition, including a target simulator for the reflection of a target signature through the intermediary of antenna elements towards the search head which is mounted on a turntable or rotary member with a flight simulator. Arranged between the target simulator and the search head is a quasi-optical coupling which follows the beam geometry by means of an imaging system and, on the one hand, the search head, as well as, on the other hand, the target simulator are located in or proximate to the applicable focal point of the resultingly produced path of transmission.
