The claimed subject matter decreases duplicate entries and loops in an activity record. An exemplary method comprises analyzing a new entry from a user to determine an originating service and a type of activity and extracting an identifying portion of the new entry. The identifying portion includes a predetermined number of characters at a beginning of the entry. Additionally, the predetermined number of characters is based on a likelihood of duplicates in the activity record. The identifying portion is compared to a list of prior entries from the user, and an exclusion action is performed, if the new entry matches one in the list of prior entries. The exclusion action may be to hide the new entry, to delete the new entry, or to collapse the new entry into a matching prior entry.

Decreasing duplicates and loops in an activity record

Technologies are described herein for generating a user interface based on a relational data model. A relational data model may be received. The relational data model may define a plurality of tables including a first table and a second table. The first table may include a first plurality of fields, and the second table may include a second plurality of fields. Relationships between the plurality of tables in the relational data model may be identified. A plurality of forms may be generated based on the relationships as identified. Each of the plurality of forms may correspond to one plurality of tables. The plurality of forms may be linked based on the relationship. The user interface including the plurality of forms as linked may be generated.

Generation of a user interface based on a relational data model

The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method for decreasing duplicate entries and loops in an activity record such as on a user's page on a social networking site. An exemplary method comprises analyzing a new entry from a user to determine an originating service and a type of activity and extracting an identifying portion of the new entry. The identifying portion is compared to a list of prior entries from the user, and an exclusion action is performed, if the new entry matches one in the list of prior entries. The exclusion action may be to hide the new entry, to delete the new entry, or to collapse the new entry into a matching prior entry.

Dynamically providing instant comments. A first instruction is received for activating an instant commenting tool for enabling instant commenting on a web media object on an online environment. The web media object is identified by the activated instant commenting tool in response to the received first instruction. An instant comment session is provided for a first user to leave comments to the web media object. The comments from the first user from the provided instant comment session are recorded. The recorded comments are rendered as a persistent portion of the web media object on the online environment.

Dynamic instant comments

An electronic collection bin is provided for assisting users in managing their personal information. The electronic collection bin provides a common location for collecting and organizing a user's information. The electronic collection bin may receive information items of varying data types and from disparate sources. After receiving an information item, the electronic collection bin analyzes the item to determine a suggested treatment, which may include conversion of the item to a new data type located at another location. A user may access the electronic collection bin, sort through the information items, and select placement of the information items. The user may view the suggested treatments of information items in the electronic collection bin and choose whether to accept the suggested treatments.
