A push-in bulb base for use in a bayonet-type bulb socket. The push-in base does not require turning of the bulb base to engage the retaining bayonets of the bulb base in the L-shaped retaining slot of the bulb socket. The push-in bulb base has integrally formed flexible retainers which flex inward during installation and then flex back to their normal position to engage the L-shaped retaining slots of the bulb socket. An integrally formed alignment rib prevents the bulb base from being inserted into the bulb socket in a position that would prohibit the engagement of the retainer with the L-shaped retaining slot.

An enclosure for electrical or electronic devices having components requiring periodic adjustment is provided with an access opening to the adjustments for the components including a hinged, attachable door for closing and sealing the access opening.

Access door hinge attachment

The low dissipation compact circuit breaker of the present invention selectively conducts breaker current in a circuit to be protected. The compact circuit breaker is in an enclosure surrounding at least a stationary contact and a moveable contact. This moving contact selectively assumes one of two bistable states, a contiguous closed state or a noncontiguous open state. A rotary operator including rotary members and a contact lever train selectively causes the stationary contact and the moveable contact to assume either a closed or an open state. A single solenoid for sensing breaker current in each phase causes the rotary operator to move the contacts from a closed state to an open state. Additionally, the solenoid for a faulted phase directly acts on a solenoid bell crank to cause the contact to begin to assume an open state in a trip operation, if breaker current reaches a preselected trip value in the faulted phase. The rotary operator causes all contacts to move from a closed to an open position by initiating a trip operation in the contact lever trains.

Compact circuit breaker

An apparatus is disclosed for mounting an auxiliary contact external to an electromagnetically operated electrical contactor so that the auxiliary contact may be operated by a carrier of the contactor. The apparatus comprises: a wall of the auxiliary contact; at least one rib projecting from the wall of the auxiliary contact, the at least one rib arranged to be matingly inserted into at least one slot in an external side of the contactor so that the rib attaches the auxiliary contact to the contactor; and, a flexible lever formed from a portion of the wall, and the lever locks into a mating structure when the rib attaches the auxiliary contact to the contactor in order to lock the auxiliary contact in position on the external side of the contactor.

Auxiliary electrical contact for electromagnetic contactor

A timing attachment for a relay that is programmable to provide an ON Delay or an OFF Delay operation of a pair of switches having either normally open or normally closed contacts. The attachment includes a housing that is mountable in either of two positions on an assembly that is attached to the relay to program the OFF and ON Delay timing functions and indicia on the switches that indicate the contact operation of the switches when the switches are inserted in sockets in the attachment. A cover for the attachments has openings there through that expose indicia on the switches indicating the normally open and normally closed operating condition of the switches when the switches are inserted into the sockets and a slider that is movable along a rear surface of the cover to positions indicating the programmed operation of the attachment and the mode of operation of the switches when the attachment is mounted on the relay.

Pneumatic timing attachment for an electromagnetic device

A solid state relay structure for use with different alternating current motors having a range of full load current and service factor ratings. The relay includes a rectangular housing and bores extending through the housing through which conductors to the motor are passed. The rear end of the housing is spaced from the panel on which the relay is mounted so the conductors may be looped through the bores when portions of the looped conductors are passed in the space between the rear end of the relay and the panel. The solid state components of the relay are encapsulated in the interior of the housing and are connected to switches, terminals, and a light emitting diode located at the front of the housing so the relay may be easily programmed for use with motors having different ratings. The terminals and operating and test instructions, located at the front end of the relay, provide a convenient arrangement for wiring the relay in its control circuit and information to program the relay.
