A system and method for assembling a plurality of components into an assembly is provided. The system includes an assembling robot and an adhesive dispensing robot. The assembling robot is configured to attach a first sub-assembly to a second sub-assembly. The first sub-assembly includes at least one of the plurality of components, and the second sub-assembly includes remaining ones of the plurality of components. The adhesive dispensing robot is configured to apply an adhesive between the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly, after the first sub-assembly is attached to the second sub-assembly, to bond the first sub-assembly to the second sub-assembly.

A vehicle lamp assembly includes an LED disposed on a circuit board, a light collimator operatively coupled to the LED to generate a beam of collimated light, a light pipe operatively coupled to light collimator to transmit the collimated beam of light, and a hybrid optic lens operatively coupled to the light pipe to diverge the collimated beam of light into a beam pattern. The hybrid optic lens includes a plurality of curved lenses for outputting light in a first direction, a first prism lens formed on a lower portion of the curved lenses for directing light downward in a second direction, and a second prism lens provided on a lateral side of curved lenses for directing light sideways in a third direction. An enhanced light illumination with uniform lighting pattern in the trailer hitch target region is achieved for operation of a trailer with the vehicle.

Vehicle lamp assembly

A system for assembling a plurality of components into an assembly is provided. The system includes an installation table, a first transfer robot, a second transfer robot, and an adhesive dispensing robot. The first transfer robot is configured to assemble some of the plurality of components into a first sub-assembly and transfer the first sub-assembly to the installation table. The second transfer robot is configured to assemble remaining ones of the plurality of components into a second sub-assembly, transfer the second sub-assembly to the installation table, and attach the second sub-assembly to the first sub-assembly. The adhesive dispensing robot is configured to apply an adhesive between the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly, after the second sub-assembly is attached to the first sub-assembly, to bond the second sub-assembly to the first sub-assembly.

A vehicle lamp assembly includes a housing that defines an opening. A light source is operably coupled with the housing. The light source is configured to emit light. A lens is coupled to the housing proximate the opening. The lens includes a first side that has an A-surface of the lens. A second side has a B-surface of the lens. A first optic defines an interior surface of the first side of the lens. The A-surface is free of the first optic. A second optic is defined on the second side. The first optic and the second optic are aligned to collimate and disperse the light.

A vehicle lighting system includes, among other things, a grille that extends across an opening in a vehicle. The system also includes a light bar assembly having lights that are disposed aft the grille relative to a general orientation of the vehicle. The lights are configured to be activated to emit light through grille openings.

Vehicle lighting system and lighting method

A floor anchor assembly for cargo vans that mounts totally below surface of cargo floor, but will provide for tie-down attach points above the cargo floor. Such anchor assemblies combine a rigid frame with a high strength web-cable that forms a loop. The web-cable loop from the anchor will rout through the center of the anchor and extend upward to pass through a narrow slot cut into the cargo floor panel. When the loop end is fully extended, the top of the loop will be just above floor surface for use as a tie-down point. When particular anchor loops are not needed, the extended loop-ends are merely pushed down into the slot to allow for easy roll and slide of cargo pallets and boxes. The loop-ends are immediately retrievable using a tool like a small screwdriver.

Cargo floor anchors

A cam buckle frame includes a first roller aligned transversally across the frame proximate the free end of an operating lever of a web toothed locking cam. The roller directs the web in contact with the operating lever of the locking cam to provide a self-locking feature without requirement for a torsion spring. Other transverse posts and rollers may be included in the web clamp frame and the corresponding hook end of the tie-down to form a secured pulley arrangement to provide a multiplication of applied tension force. One end of the frame side-wall adjacent said first roller may form an integral hook assembly with a structural latch. An option is to have the frame closed out by connecting opposing walls with a section that provides a center port to allow attachment of various style hooks. A pivoting hook-end used to connect to soft hook loops is described.

Buckle assembly for tie down strap

A hanging wire post with a locking connector for decorative hanging applications. This hanging wire post would be alternate to using eyelets or D-rings for attachment point of hanging wire to frame. This hanging post will install to frame with a single center-point screw. This post supports the hanging wire which is threaded through and around backside of post resulting in a frictional grip on wire that facilitates wire length adjustment. The hanging wire is then locked into position with the parallel line locking connector. The result is a very high strength end connection, and very quick and precise installation. No frustration of trying to tie precise knots in stranded wire or stranded wire rope. This device will work equally well with coated or uncoated stranded wire and wire rope.

Adjustable grip for a web cable tie down

A wall anchor insert, and an installation tool and method to allow for the installation of a wall anchor flush to wall surface. The materials are a polymeric insert, and a moisturing curing adhesive resin. The installation tool facilitates the installation of anchor, including the required resin coating, and insures that anchor is flush. At such time that redecorating is done, there will be no unsightly anchor to remove or wall damage to repair. The anchor is left in place with only one small screw hole to spackle.

Method and apparatus for installing a surface conforming drywall anchor

A heat pump circuit is installed into the inner cavity of a chimney venting the combustion gases of a burner servicing a dwelling with the exterior heat pump coil mounted in an annular gap formed around the upper chimney end. A fan driven by the chimney draft augmented by the burner then rotates an exterior rank of blade segments above the annular space to draw ambient air across the exterior coil. A set of gated apertures in the chimney wall both above and below the flue damper then directs zoned airflows up into the chimney and across the inner coil that is deployed at the lower interior chimney opening with the air heated in a chamber surrounding the burner either selectively routed into the chimney to further increase the chimney draft or routed into the dwelling for warmth.

Chimney heat exchange system

An assembly useful in directing a stream of water onto the surfaces of a toilet bowl includes a delay valve rendered operative by the lifting of the toilet seat and a bellows spring connected to be pulled in by the latching vacuum draw of the delay valve and thereafter released to displace the seat towards its lowered state. A set of springs then opposes the dropping stroke of the seat once displaced by the bellows spring. The assembly is conformed for installation onto an existing toilet.

A wind instrument is described which includes an elongated tubular body and a helical member in the tubular body extending longitudinally therein for inducing a helical airflow in the tubular body from air blown into the mouthpiece. A helical member is also described for insertion within a wind instrument to induce helical airflow through at least part of the instrument.

The present invention relates to a hitching device designed to be used to detachably connect two vehicles together. The hitching mechanism includes two jaws which may pivot with respect to one another in a controlled manner by virtue of intermeshing gearing therebetween. The ends of the jaws have a complimentary tongue and groove connection to facilitate resistance of forces which would tend to separate the jaws in the absence thereof. A lock block is provided to control locking and unlocking of the jaws, while a safety pin is provided to protect against undesired jaw movements.
