An assembly including a drive motor and a gear plate. The gear plate includes a seat for retaining the drive motor. The assembly also includes a motor cap having at least one pawl for snap-fitting into the seat. The assembly further includes at least one post, which is adapted to receive a gear.

Wearable devices for dispensing insect repellents, fragrances, and/or other chemicals along the outside of the clothing of a human are disclosed. They are of the type that are clipped onto a belt or the like, and use a powered fan to dispense active. They are configured with outlet arrangements to minimize power use while still achieving acceptable air flow rates. These changes permit use of smaller power supplies and more compact arrangements for power supply (e.g., battery) positioning. This in turn permits a much more compact and lightweight construction to achieve the desired results.

Wearable chemical dispenser

A power tool including a drive assembly including a first clutch assembly having an engaged configuration, in which the first clutch assembly transfers a drive force from a motor shaft to a spindle, and a disengaged configuration, in which the first clutch assembly prevents the transfer of the drive force. The first clutch assembly can be movable toward the disengaged configuration when a torque exerted on the spindle exceeds a torque limit. The drive assembly can also include a second clutch assembly having an engaged configuration, in which the second clutch assembly transmits the drive force from the motor shaft to the spindle, and a disengaged configuration, in which the second clutch assembly prevents the transmission of the drive force. The second clutch assembly can be movable toward the engaged configuration when the tool element engages a workpiece.

Power tool, drive assembly, and method of operating the same

A power tool and spindle lock. The spindle lock includes a spring and a detent arrangement to control and buffer the rotation of the spindle and to delay the engagement of the locking elements. In some aspects, the invention provides a spindle lock including a spring element which applies substantially equal spring force to delay the operation of the spindle lock when the spindle is rotated in the forward direction or in the reverse direction. In some aspects, the invention provides two spring members which cooperate to apply the substantially equal force to delay the operation of the spindle lock when the spindle is rotated in the forward direction or in the reverse direction.

Power tool and spindle lock system

A nosepiece assembly, such as a two-piece locator assembly. The assembly is selectively mountable on a tool housing in coaxial relation with a driven tool attachment. The locator assembly includes a mounting sleeve having a plurality of tabs that can be snapped into a circumferential groove on the tool housing to thereafter releasably restrain axial movement of the sleeve relative to the tool housing. The locator assembly and the tool housing also include cam members that are arranged to provide axial movement to the locator assembly when a rotational force is applied to the mounting sleeve. This arrangement permits the locator assembly to be easily and quickly snapped on and off the tool housing with one hand while allowing an improved attachment means to provide stability to the locator assembly when in a supported position.

Nosepiece assembly for a power tool

A two-piece depth adjustment assembly for a hand-held power tool. The depth adjustment assembly includes a mounting sleeve which can be snapped onto the housing of the power tool to fix the sleeve relative to the housing and which can also be snapped off the housing. The depth adjustment assembly also includes a locator having external threads engaged with complementary internal threads on the sleeve so that rotation of the locator relative to the sleeve displaces the locator axially forwardly and rearwardly. To maintain the locator in a predetermined angular position relative to the sleeve, the depth adjustment assembly includes indexing means including resilient fingers on the locator and axially extending recesses on the sleeve for releasably housing the fingers. The result is a depth adjustment assembly which does not require an operator to disturb a previously set depth setting when changing tool attachments and which will not slip from the adjusted setting.
