A portable doweling jig includes a generally cuboidal body comprising four sets of bores that facilitate the drilling of precisely positioned holes into workpieces for receiving standard-sized construction dowels. Despite the absence of moving parts, the present invention accommodates dowels of different diameters, and also workpieces of both standard and nonstandard thicknesses. Furthermore, the present invention makes possible the creation of three types of dowel joints: edge-to-surface, edge-to-edge, and surface-to-surface.

Portable doweling jig

An exercise device that accommodates stretching and toning exercises otherwise performed with an exercise ball. The device comprises a stable support structure and a padded bench that rocks back and forth on the stable support structure safely and predictably in response to the user's movements. The support structure can take a variety of different forms, including an A-frame geometry, a triangular geometry, a T-shaped geometry, and in the form of a pedestal base. A user, during exercise, can support part of his weight on the bench, and cause the bench to rock back and forth by alternately relaxing and contracting selected muscles.

Stretching and toning device

A novel abdominal exercise machine is provided which is adaptable for a variety of strength exercises utilizing at least some of the weight of a user for resistance. The exercise machine includes a first frame having laterally spaced and parallel side arms adapted for at least partially receiving a user in a supine position therebetween for abdominal exercise. A second frame is pivotally attached to one side of the first frame and includes a support member for at least partially supporting a user's weight thereon during utilization of the exercise machine. When utilized for abdominal exercise, the support member can support a user's head thereon. When utilized for a variety of strength exercises, the support member can support at least some or all of the weight of a user thereon wherein the user can stand, sit, or kneel on the support member. The amount of resistance encountered during strength exercises can be selectively adjusted. The exercise machine additionally includes a handlebar pivotally attached to the same side of the first frame as the second frame but on an opposite end of the first frame from the location of attachment of the second frame to the first frame.

Abdominal exercise machine adapted for strength exercises

A multi-function exercise machine which makes use of the body weight of an exerciser and has a base frame and a user support frame pivotably mounted thereon. A lever arm mechanism for pivotably raising and lowering the user support frame against the user's weight is provided and comprises a handle bar having a lever arm depending therefrom and carrying a roller on the lower end thereof. An arcuate track is adjustably mounted to the base frame so as to provide an adjustable arcuate pathway for the lever arm roller to travel upon as the user pivotably motivates the handle bars and lever arm secured thereto in order to raise and lower the user support frame. Pushing and pulling exercises may be performed according to the selected position of the arcuate track.

Multi-function exercise machine making use of body weight

A multi-function exercise apparatus has a base frame including two vertical support members. An adjustable support means is secured to the frame and provides support for a user in a plurality of different upright and horizontal exercise positions. A lever arm is mounted to a fixed shaft extending from each of the two support members, and an elastic band biasing means cooperatively engages each lever arm and corresponding support member thereof so that each lever arm is adapted to have its forward or rearward rotational bias changed without requiring removal and relocation of the lever arm, the corresponding elastic bands, or the corresponding band support pins.

Multi-function exercise apparatus

A transmission control system includes a plurality of hydraulic pressure operated control elements for engaging a gear of the transmission in response to actuation of a shift control lever having neutral and non-neutral positions, a plurality of control valves for controlling pressurization of the control elements and a pump for supplying pressurized fluid to the control valves. An engagement override system includes a switch which is coupled to the shift lever and which energizes a solenoid when the shift lever is in its neutral position and de-energizes the solenoid when the shift lever is in its non-neutral position. In a preferred embodiment, an engagement override valve includes a pilot operated valve which controls communication between the pump, a reservoir and the pressure operated control elements. The solenoid controls the pilot operated valve. The valve also includes a pilot chamber which is pressurized to move the valve to and hold the valve in a position wherein the pump is communicated with the pressure operated control elements.

Transmission engagement override valve

A control system for a multi-speed powershift gear transmission having multiple hydraulically actuated speed range clutches and directional clutches includes a control valve module having solenoid operated valves for conducting pressure fluid to a selected one of the speed range clutches and a selected one of the directional clutches. A pressure regulator valve is in circuit with the directional clutch control valves and is acted on by pilot pressure fluid controlled by a proportional solenoid type control valve wherein the pressure rate of rise in the directional clutches may be selectively controlled in accordance with the particular shift condition initiated and based on a previous transmission operating condition. The control unit provides for a predetermined pressure rate of rise signal to the pressure regulator valve based on the selected shift condition and the previous operating condition of the transmission.

Control system for powershift transmission clutches

A swinging gate operating mechanism having a crank and links which withdraw and insert the locking bolt as the linkages pass over center, and aligning linkage centers to allow the mechanism to rotate freely with a pair of indexing links to prevent the gate from rebounding out of the latch as the bolt impacts the jam post.

Gate operating mechanism

A device to aid in the tying of dental floss having a compartment to retain the dental floss which can be withdrawn, doubled back, wound around a conical member, passed through a groove and slot and threaded back through, and slipped off of the conical member forming a convenient loop used to more easily floss the teeth.
