A static mixer includes a tubular body having a sidewall with an upstream end, a downstream end opposite the upstream end, and an inner surface. The upstream end has a surface defining an upstream opening into the body. The downstream end has a surface defining a downstream opening exiting the body. The upstream opening, the downstream opening, and inner surface define a passageway through the body for transport of a first fluid therethrough. A primary fin may depend from the inner surface of the body and into the passageway. The primary fin may have a curved fin with a flow surface. A secondary fin may extend into the passageway adjacent to the primary fin, the secondary fin may have a curved flow surface that curves opposite to the flow surface of the primary fin. The secondary fin may be offset upstream or downstream from the primary fin.

A static mixing device for use within an open channel includes a mixing section with at least one set of stationary mixing vane members. The vane members are supported within a mixing section and include a plate member having a base edge supported by the base member, the plate member including an upstanding oblong tab with a leading edge extending upwardly and rearward from a forward corner of the base edge to a plate peak, the leading edge connecting with a curved trailing edge, the trailing edge extending downwardly and rearward to a rear corner of the base edge and a mixing cap supported on the trailing edge to promote mixing of the fluids within the fluid channel. The mixing device also includes an injection nozzle positioned upstream of the at least one vane member, at approximately the plate peak and operatively constructed to transport additives into the stream of fluid flow.

Static mixer

A static mixing device for use within an open channel includes a mixing section with at least one set of stationary mixing vane members and at least one conical section. In one example, the at least one conical section is an inlet section positioned upstream of the mixing section, while in another embodiment the at least one conical section includes both an inlet section positioned upstream and an outlet section positioned downstream of the mixing section. A plurality of vane members are also supported within the mixing section to promote fluid mixing. When used in an open channel, the static mixer having at least one conical section has a lower head loss in a shorter distance downstream from the mixing device than other conventional static mixers. In addition, the mixer is self-contained and is easy to mount, lightweight, and less expensive to manufacture and maintain than conventional open channel mixers.

A static conditioner for mounting within a tubular conduit in turn supporting fluid flow therein and including a two-stage construction having a first stage including primary vanes including laterally extending caps radially inwardly extending into the fluid flow so as to separate and direct flow against the conduit walls and a second stage of secondary plates positioned immediately downstream of the first stage and laterally offset therefrom so as to eliminate swirl and turbulence remaining in the flow after the first stage.

Static fluid flow conditioner

A static mixing device for mounting or other attachment within a hollow tubular conduit including a plurality of vanes generally equally spaced therein and each including a generally oblong plate radially inwardly extending from the conduit internal wall surface and wherein each of said plates is provided with a generally wing-shaped cap that downwardly, rearwardly and inwardly bends from the top of the plate to said conduit wall.

A variable static mixer and system for accommodating variable and different flows in a pipeline so as to produce maximum mixing efficiency including a first mixer mounted in the pipeline and a second mixer mounted in the pipeline at a downstream location wherein the second mixer has a plate with a mixing orifice which plate is adapted to move between non-mixing and mixing positions.

A static mixer which is adapted for disposition in a pipe having a fluid flow direction including a circumferential flange radially inwardly extending from the internal pipe surface and in turn having at least a pair of opposed flaps extending therefrom and inclined in the direction of the fluid flow.
