This document provides conductive patterns, electrical sensors including conductive patterns, and methods of making conductive patterns used in electrical sensors. In some cases, the conductive patterns can define one or more microelectrodes. For example, thermal transfer printing techniques are described. In some cases, a microfluidics device can include one or more microelectrodes in a micro-channel.

A device for electrokinetic delivery of medicament to a treatment site includes a cartridge having an active electrode and a membrane overlying the active electrode and a medicament or a medicament and an electrically conductive carrier therefor, carried by the membrane in electrical contact with the electrode. The electrode opens through a surface of the cartridge remote from the membrane for connection with an electrical connector carried by the device. An locking element releasably couples the cartridge to the housing.

Combination cartridge and device for electrokinetic delivery of medicament to a treatment site

A container assembly comprises a vessel for containing a biological medium, gametes and/or one or more embryo(s). The vessel has a COpermeable seal and a closure valve device for selective access. A buffer chamber for a COenriched atmosphere cooperates with the vessel and is in communication with the COpermeable wall. Such a container assembly is particularly adapted for intravaginal use in which case the permeable seal prevents ingress of vaginal secretions. The buffer chamber mediates the aqueous pH in the vessel after the container assembly is removed from a COenriched environment.

A wound dressing well suited for mass production on manufacturing assembly lines and having a non-woven fabric reservoir for receiving and retaining wound exudate sandwiched between inner and outer layers of non-woven fabric, the inner layer being adapted for covering a wound, the outer layer being air- and vapor-permeable, but bulk water- and bacteria-impermeable, the inner layer having a plurality of spaced tapering elevations of non-woven fabric, the tapered ends of which are provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive for adhering the dressing covering a patient's wound.

Disclosed is a tamper-evident tape for applying over the flap or other opening in cellulosic substrates such as paper products, corrugated containers, cardboard boxes, shipping cartons and the like, which tape will provide evidence of tampering with its contents over a wide temperature range from above to below the Tg of the adhesive layer adhering the tape to the substrate. The tape has a transparent backing layer carrying on one side thereof a discontinuous layer of deposits of a transparent barrier material which is bonded to the backing layer and which prevents bonding of an underlying colored layer to the backing layer in areas where the barrier material is present.

Disclosed is a package and dispenser for a per se known finger bandage comprising an elongated backing carrying an adhesive layer on one surface thereof with an absorbent pad seated on the adhesive layer substantially intermediate the ends of the bandage, the free ends of bandage on either side of the pad being folded inwardly to significantly reduce the size of the package, the bandage being contained between opposed top and bottom sheet materials lightly adhered together around their common periphery to enclose the bandage, the bandage having release sheets covering the adhesive layer on either side of the pad, the release sheet on side of the pad being secured at its end furtherest from the pad to one of the sheet materials and the release sheet on the other side of the pad being secured at its end furtherest from the pad to the other sheet material, whereby stripping apart of the two sheet materials will also remove the release sheets from the bandage.

Compositions are disclosed for protecting keratin-containing substances in the body, e.g. skin, nails and especially hair, from damage and for helping to restore the damaged keratinous material to a healthy state. In one embodiment the compositions will comprise a liquid fatty acid vehicle containing at least a long chain alkane for bonding hydrophobically to keratin.

Novel system for providing lubricity to the surface of a nasogastric intubation device, which system comprises a substantially homogeneous mixture consisting essentially of: (1) an effective amount of an unsaturated higher fatty acid having at least 16 carbon atoms; and (2) a polymer compatible therewith. The mixture may be coated on the surface of the portion of the length of the tube assembly to be lubricated or, alternatively, the acid may be contained in the polymer mix employed in the manufacture of the tube assembly. When the acid-containing surface is contacted with an aqueous alkaline solution prior to intubation, the acid is converted to the corresponding lubricious soap.

Nasogastric device

A pad for use in a pad cup positioned over an opening in a musical instrument, the pad having a seal element which initially forms an impression of the rim of the opening and fixes the impression. The pad further includes a support member which carries the seal element to securely position the impression relative to the rim to seal the opening when the pad is brought to bear against the rim. The support element also damps vibrations generated when the seal element contacts the rim.
