A sprocket comprising teeth for engaging one or more chains is provided with datum connection portions which releasably support a datum body, such as a tensioned wire, in a predefined position. The datum body provides a temporary reference or datum element or surface from which the position of the wear surfaces of the sprocket teeth may be determined by eye or by measurement, particularly in the radial direction. The teeth may further comprise a set of markings corresponding to angularly spaced reference planes intersecting at the sprocket axis. The markings are preferably arranged on the crown or radially outward surface of the teeth and are used to determine wear in the circumferential direction.

Method and apparatus for monitoring sprocket wear, e.g. in a mining conveyor

A sprocket adapted to be used in a drive unit of a chain conveyor for underground mining applications is disclosed. The sprocket may have a cylindrical body. The cylindrical body may have a front face, an axis of rotation (A-A'), and a lateral surface. The sprocket may also have a scraping member provided on the front face. The scraping member may scrape off deposits during rotation of the sprocket.

Scraping elements for drive units of underground mining applications

A reversing station of an apron conveyor is disclosed. The reversing station may have a machine frame including a base having a recess. The reversing station may also have a slide construction movable relative to the machine frame by means of an adjusting device and having a guide base displaceably guided in the recess. The reversing station may have a chain wheel fastened to the slide construction. The reversing station may also have guide elements fastened to a front region of the guide base of the slide construction and cooperating with guide rails fixedly fastened to the base of the machine frame. The reversing station may have a fixing device mountable to a front region of the slide construction. The chain wheel may be disposed on the slide construction in a middle portion between a stop for the adjusting device and the front region of the guide base.

The present disclosure relates to a slat conveyor for transporting material in mining and extraction systems. The slat conveyor may comprise a plurality of channel elements arranged in a series, a material-transport strand and an oppositely-moving return strand. The slat conveyor may further comprise an endless conveyor including a conveyor chain and a plurality of transport plates with a plate section, which may be pivotable downward in a delivery area for the transported material. Thus, for example, a flat-constructed slat conveyor (apron conveyor) having a low loading height may be provided.

Slat conveyor for extraction systems and transport plates therefor

A chain wheel for driving or diverting a conveyor of an apron conveyor including transport plates is disclosed. The transport plates may be releasably connectable via a chain connecting parts to the conveyor chain. The chain wheel may have a chain wheel body including a lateral face. The chain wheel may also have teeth arranged peripherally offset over the lateral face. In addition, the chain wheel may have bearing faces. The bearing faces may be arranged peripherally offset over the lateral face between two adjacently situated teeth. The bearing faces may also be configured to support the chain connecting parts.

A tail station for a scraper chain conveyor, in particular a transfer conveyor, including a machine frame having bearing holders, which are open at the margins, for a demountable chain wheel assembly, including a chain wheel assembly having a chain wheel shaft, a reversing chain wheel and bearing shells for the rotatable mounting of the chain wheel shaft, and having a deflector element assigned to the reversing chain wheel, the bearing holders being configured on cantilever arms connected to the machine frame and are upwardly open, wherein the chain wheel assembly is provided on the bearing shells with bearing blocks, which can be inserted with horizontal motional play into the bearing holders and are horizontally displaceable in the bearing holders between a removal position and a locking position.
