A conveyor device for conveying flat objects on edge, which device comprises at least two wheels having elastically deformable treads and disposed facing each other so as to move a flat object on edge by pinching and friction. The two wheels are arranged in such a manner as to exert a pinching force on the flat object on edge that varies progressively as the flat object is driven forwards.

Unstacker apparatus () for unstacking flat items (E), the unstacker apparatus comprising a flat item feed magazine (M) in which the flat items are disposed in a stack and on edge and are moved in a certain direction (D) until they reach an unstacking plate () disposed in alignment with said feed magazine, whereupon they are ejected one-by-one in a perpendicular direction (P) that is perpendicular to said certain direction (D), the unstacker apparatus further comprising a blower member () which is disposed so as to blow a jet of air onto the flat items, and which is mounted in a manner such as to be retractable into the unstacking plate.

The device for individually transferring flat objects from an entry conveyor ( ) on which the objects travel in series edge-on in a first direction (A), into buckets ( ) of an exit conveyor ( ), comprises an intermediate conveyor ( ) arranged in the continuation of the entry conveyor above the exit conveyor and equipped with receptacles ( ) which, over at least part of their path, can move in a second direction (B) perpendicular to said first direction, each flat object leaving the entry conveyor being injected edge-on into a receptacle of the intermediate conveyor which comes up to face the exit of the entry conveyor so as to be transferred edge-on into a bucket of the exit conveyor. It further comprises an injection system ( ) comprising elastically deformable wheels ( ) at the exit end of the entry conveyor and designed to accelerate and then retard the movement of each flat object in said first direction before injecting it into a receptacle of the intermediate conveyor.

The device for the high-speed conveying of post envelopes ( A, B) comprises a fixed sole plate ( ) extending along the path which the conveyed envelopes follow and along which the envelopes, standing on edge and arranged in series, glide, a motorized endless reference belt ( ) stretched along one side of the sole plate, a motorized endless press belt ( ) stretched along the other side of the sole plate, and a series of elastically deformable elastomer wheels ( ) for elastically pressing against the reference belt in such a way as to grip the envelopes arranged on the sole plate between the reference belt and the press belt. The wheels ( ) each have a hub mounted to rotate on a stationary spindle, and an annular tread strip in contact with the press belt, the hub and the annular tread strip of each wheel being connected by elastically deformable circular-arc-shaped fins. The two ends of each fin, which are for connection to the hub and to the annular tread strip of the wheel, lie on a radius of the wheel.
