A system and method for regulating temperatures inside of a vehicle while an electric personal transport device is charging inside the vehicle by a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controller including at least one processor is described. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a signal from at least one of an electric personal transport device presence sensor or a charging unit for an electric personal transport device, the signal indicating that an electric personal transport device is charging inside the vehicle. The method also includes receiving an ambient temperature inside the vehicle from a temperature sensor and comparing the ambient temperature inside the vehicle to a threshold temperature. Based on the comparison of the ambient temperature to the threshold temperature, the method further includes operating at least one heating and cooling system of the vehicle to regulate the temperature inside the vehicle within a temperature range.

System and method for temperature control while charging an electric transport device inside a vehicle

An electronic device and method for management of energy is disclosed. The electronic device receives charging information associated with a first charging source and a second charging source. The charging information indicates a charging cost and a carbon footprint of the first charging source and the second charging source. The electronic device determines a change in the charging cost and the carbon footprint between the first charging source and the second charging source, and generates visual insights based on the determined change in the charging cost and the corresponding carbon footprint over a predefined time period. The visual insights indicate a cost-saving amount of the charging cost and a carbon-saving amount of the corresponding carbon footprint, for at least one of: the first charging source and the second charging source. The electronic device outputs a notification based on the generated visual insights, the charging cost, and the corresponding carbon footprint.

A system and method for management of vehicle battery life is disclosed. The system is communicatively coupled to a vehicle and receives information associated with the vehicle. Based on the received information, the system determines a user of the vehicle as one of a lessee of the vehicle or an owner of the vehicle. The system sets a limit that is applicable on a consumption of charge cycles from a current cycle life of a battery unit of the vehicle. The limit is set based on the determination that the user is the owner of the vehicle. The system detects a connection of the vehicle with an electrical system of a built environment associated with the user and controls a transfer of electric power from the battery unit to the electrical system based on the detection and the set limit.

A system and a method for vehicle-battery state-of-charge (SOC)-based transmission of telematics data are provided. The system comprises a control circuitry. The control circuitry receives a threshold value corresponding to a predefined state-of-charge of a battery of a vehicle. The control circuitry monitors a state-of-charge of the battery of the vehicle. The control circuitry determines whether the monitored state-of-charge of the battery of the vehicle exceeds the received threshold value. The control circuitry determines telematics data associated with the vehicle based on the determination that the monitored state-of-charge of the battery of the vehicle exceeds the received threshold value. A server may receive information about an electric vehicle's charging and discharging states. When the electric vehicle is known to have obtained a charge from a renewable source, the transfer of any energy associated with that charge to a recipient may also trigger the transfer of renewable energy credits (RECs) to the recipient. The server maintains an accounting of the movement of RECs, and may also facilitate compensation to electric vehicle owners for their return of clean energy to a third party.

An electric charge management device for a vehicle includes a display screen and circuitry. The circuitry sets a first threshold value for a first discharge level of a battery of the vehicle. The first discharge level is greater than a zero state of charge (SOC) of the battery. The circuitry sets a second threshold value for a second discharge level of the battery based on first information associated with the vehicle and/or a user of the vehicle. The circuitry determines a first energy cost for an energy amount between the second discharge level and a current SOC of the battery. The circuitry controls the vehicle to transfer the energy amount to an external electric power system, which is different from the electric charge management device, based on the determined first energy cost.
