The disclosed technology is directed towards facilitating communication with an unknown person via a device of the person having an unknown communications address. The presence of a visible person at a location can be determined, and a communications device at or near that location can be detected as a candidate device associated with that person. The device's current location, which can be regularly registered along with its communication address, is matched to the person's visible location. Communication via the device, such as by a responder, whether with the person and/or to obtain information from the device, is based on the registered communication address. The person's identity and other data may be obtainable. For a non-visible person, e.g., underneath an obstruction, the location of a detected device predicts the likely presence of a person near that location. A map may be generated showing locations of multiple detected devices.

Augmented reality-based unknown address communication

A processing system including at least one processor may gather first imaging data associated with an infrastructure item via at least a first imaging device, where the first imaging data represents a first condition of the infrastructure item, and gather second imaging data associated with the infrastructure item via at least a second imaging device, where at least one of the at least the first imaging device or the at least the second imaging device is mounted on a vehicle, and where the infrastructure item is visible from a road on which the vehicle operates. The processing system may then determine a second condition of the infrastructure item in accordance with the second imaging data, where the second condition comprises a potentially unsafe condition of the infrastructure item, and generate a report of the potentially unsafe condition of the infrastructure item in response to the determining.

Sensor-based infrastructure condition monitoring

A processing system may determine a plurality of aspects of a trip of a user, each of the plurality of aspects associated with a travel service provider of a plurality of travel service providers, identify a plurality of travel service provider applications that are available on the mobile computing device and that are associated with the plurality of travel service providers, and obtain an authorization of the user of the mobile computing device to interact with the plurality of travel service provider applications in connection with the trip. The processing system may then detect an event associated with the trip and perform, in response to detecting the event, at least one task via a second travel service provider application using a first set of data from at least a first of the plurality of travel service provider applications, where the second travel service provider application is available on the mobile computing device.

The disclosed technology is directed towards efficiently identifying a first entity (e.g., a user or sensor) as a potential witness to an event. A first dataset describing event time data and event location data of an event are obtained from a first device. A second dataset describing device time data and device location data are obtained via a device associated with a second entity, e.g., a user. By analyzing the first and second datasets, e.g., for time and location intersection, the second entity can be identified as a potential witness to the event, and notified of such. Factors such as line of sight, speed and direction, audio sensing range versus event volume, and the like of the second entity can be used in determining whether the second entity is a likely witness. A witness to a live event can be identified and asked to send in live (e.g., video) evidence.

Automated event witness identification

The disclosed technology is directed towards providing guidance, e.g., point-to-point audio guidance, along an evacuation route. The presence of occupant(s) within a structure/area is monitored. If an evacuation event occurs, an evacuation route is determined for each occupant based on their current monitored starting location. Guidance is output, e.g., by various output devices along the evacuation route, which can be the safety monitors that monitor occupant presence, to guide each occupant from point-to-point along the evacuation route. For example, one monitor can be configured to hand off guidance responsibility to a next monitor along the evacuation route. The guidance can be customized for each known occupant based on their recognized features, or can be directed generally to an unknown occupant. Status information of the occupants can be provided to other occupants and to a responding entity. A responding entity can also be given directional guidance.

Monitored audio-based evacuation routes

The disclosed technology is directed towards generating an annotated visual playback of an incident. Upon obtaining notification of an incident, event data occurring in the incident zone and timeframe are obtained (e.g., collected) from sensors proximate the zone. The event data is used to annotate a visual playback captured by one or more cameras, e.g., within a timeframe ranging from some time before the incident occurred to the end of the incident. For example, a video can be presented with overlaid annotation data, each annotation describing an event as it occurred in time, in conjunction with an advancing timestamp overlay showing the time of the video frames. A simulated video, e.g., extended reality video, can also be generated, along with annotations and timeframe data, such as if captured from camera(s) from one or more various different perspectives.

A processing system including at least one processor may detect at least one dark zone in a vicinity of a user, determine at least one lighting feature for an illumination of the at least one dark zone in accordance with a user profile of the user, identify at least one light source to provide the illumination of the at least one dark area in accordance with the at least one lighting feature that is determined, and transmit an instruction to the at least one light source to provide the illumination of the at least one dark zone in accordance with the at least one lighting feature that is determined.

A processing system including at least one processor may obtain a parking request for a vehicle to park at a parking facility and may offer a plurality of parking spots of the parking facility for the vehicle, where at least one of the plurality of parking spots that is offered is a parking spot that is predicted to be available, and where the offering includes presenting information regarding predicted adjacent parking spot occupancy of the at least one of the plurality of parking spots for a duration of an intended stay of the vehicle at the parking facility. The processing system may then obtain a selection of a parking spot from among the plurality of parking spots and reserve the parking spot for the vehicle.

A processing system including at least one processor may identify a user viewpoint of a user at a first venue, match a viewpoint at a second venue to the user viewpoint of the user at the first venue, detect a trigger condition to provide visual content of the second venue to the user at the first venue, obtain the visual content of the second venue, wherein the visual content of the second venue is obtained from the viewpoint at the second venue, and provide the visual content of the second venue to an augmented reality device of the user at the first venue, where the augmented reality device presents the visual content of the second venue as a visual overlay within a field of view of the user.

A processing system deployed in a carrier transport vehicle may establish a wireless communication session with a mobile device of a user, assign a zone of the carrier transport vehicle to the user, the zone including a plurality of network-connected devices, obtain a user profile from the mobile device of the user, determine at least one biometric sensor accessible via the mobile device of the user, obtain biometric data of the user from the at least one biometric sensor accessible via the mobile device of the user, determine a condition of the user based upon the biometric data, identify at least one adjustment to at least one of the plurality of network-connected devices in response to the condition of the user that is determined and the user profile, and apply the at least one adjustment to the at least one of the plurality of network-connected devices.

The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting communications data to a responding entity that are relevant to an emergency situation at an emergency location. The communications data can be obtained from communications (e.g., text messages, transmitted video, voice calls and the like) that involve at least one user device at the situation, including communications that do not involve the responding entity. Users may opt in to such an emergency service to allow access to their communications, whereby their device locations are tracked and known in the event of an emergency. Upon obtaining the communications data, a responder can receive a view of the scene augmented with the communications data. The view can include a three-dimensional and/or two-dimensional representation of the zone/area of the emergency situation. Filtering can be used to eliminate irrelevant communications, and summarization can be used to combine generally redundant communications.

Emergency ad hoc device communication monitoring

A processing system including at least one processor may capture a video of a preparation area for a consumable item, may identify at least one item in the video, the at least one item comprising at least one of: at least one ingredient of the consumable item, or at least one tool for preparing the consumable item, and may identify annotation content for the at least one item. The processing system may then modify the video to generate a modified video that includes a visual marker associated with the annotation content and present the modified video via a device associated with a user to be served the consumable item.

A processing system of a carrier transport vehicle including at least one processor may obtain a notification of a luggage item to be placed in a stowage bin of the carrier transport vehicle, the notification including an identifier of the luggage item, detect, via the identifier of the luggage item, that the luggage item is proximate to the stowage bin, where the identifier of the luggage item is obtained via a wireless signal from the luggage item, and present at least one visual indicator associated with the stowage bin, in response to the detecting that the luggage item is proximate to the stowage bin.

The disclosed technology is directed towards associating a rescue tag with a victim in need of rescue, in which the rescue tag collects condition (biological state) data associated with the victim and provides a location of the rescue tag. The location data is maintained in association with the condition data. A responder makes a request to output the condition data, and in response, the responder's device is presented with an augmented reality display that shows the victim condition data relative to the location data. Multiple victims can be efficiently triaged, with more urgent victims highlighted via augmented reality for more urgent treatment. Filtering as requested by a responder can present augmented reality display for only a subset of the victims. Also described is the use of an aerial vehicle to assist the responders and/or a command center; the aerial vehicle can act as an edge node for efficient communication.

A processing system may obtain first content including human language via a computing network. The processing system may next identify an assertion in the first content and identify one or more content sources containing second content relating to the assertion. The processing system may then determine whether the second content relating to the assertion corroborates or contradicts the assertion, and may present the first content with an indication of whether the second content corroborates or contradicts the assertion.
