The method of adding to gasoline which has been stored in a container, of relatively small size for a substantial period of time to cause substantial loss of the more volatile gasoline components, an additive composition which comprises a flammable organic liquid having a Reid vapor pressure of 2 to 18 psig, to improve starting capacity of a motor fueled by said gasoline.

Rejuvenation of stored gasoline

A sealer and inflator composition, particularly for inflating tires. The composition comprises: a sealant; a non-flammable propellant/inflator having an ozone depletion potential of zero; and a vapor pressure depressant which may be either hydrocarbon diethers of 3 to 6 carbon atoms, hydroxyketones of 3 to 6 carbon atoms, or mixtures thereof.

An adhesive coated label can be adherent to untreated polyolefin containers, and can be significantly oil resistant to avoid staining of the label if brought into contact with oil. The label comprises a label body of a clay-reinforced paper. The label body carries an adhesive layer on one side which preferably comprises from 0.3 to 10 weight percent of wood rosin or wood rosin ester, to provide a desired adhesion to polyolefin. A removable backing layer typically covers the adhesive layer before use. The backing layer has a release layer positioned against the adhesive layer, which comprises a silicone resin cross linked by the reaction of Si-H linkages with silanol or silicone-olefin linkages. The release layer may comprise a polypropylene sheet, particularly a polypropylene strip on which many labels are carried, to facilitate the manufacture and storage of the labels.

Oil resistant label system

A new lubricant for addition to preferably two-cycle engine fuels is provided. The lubricant may be a solid lubricant in the form of a pellet having a diameter of at least 1 mm., which is readily dispersible when dropped into the fuel. Also, the lubricant of this invention preferably comprises from 25 to 75 percent of a saturated fatty acid having 12 to 22 carbon atoms; (2) from 5 to 25 weight percent of at least one of a polyisobutylene having a molecular weight of at least 800 or a polymerized, unsaturated fatty acid having an average of at least about 24 carbon atoms per polymerized molecule; and (3) from 0 to 50 weight percent of a polybasic ester of a polyol molecule and 2 to 4 fatty acid molecules, each fatty acid molecule having an average of 4 to 22 carbon atoms.

Lubricant for fuel

A plastic clip for automobile visors and the like. The clip comprises a plastic material impregnated with an aroma-creating material which is continuously released from the plastic material into the air for a period of weeks when mounted on the visor. The plastic material of the visor itself can be used to provide the clip action.
