Face mask

A protective helmet is provided having an upper section and a lower section, each having an inside and an outside surface. A gap is formed between the upper section and the lower section. Resilient members in the form of a plurality of spaced apart compression struts are provided for connecting the upper section to the lower section. The upper section is movable with respect to the lower section whereby a portion of the force of an impact to the upper section will be absorbed and will not be transmitted to the lower section. A suspension harness is attached to the inside surface of the lower section. The suspension harness is adapted to receive a portion of the helmet user's head and to keep the helmet user's head from contacting the inside surface of the upper section.

There is provided an improved sterilization wrap and a method for using the improved sterilization wrap to sterilize an article. The wrap is made of first and second sheets of sterilization material. Each sheet has first, second, third and fourth edges. Each sheet includes a central portion. The first edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the first edge of the second sheet; the second edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the second edge of the second sheet; the third edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the third edge of the second sheet; and the fourth edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the fourth edge of the second sheet. The central portions of the first and second sheets are substantially not bonded together. Thus, two layers of sterilization material are provided for an article to be sterilized.

Four edge sealed sterilization wrap and method for sterilizing an article

There is provided an improved sterilization wrap and a method for using the improved sterilization wrap to sterilize an article. The wrap is made of a first and second sheets of sterilization material. Each sheet has first, second, third and fourth edges. Each sheet includes a central portion. The first edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the first edge of the second sheet; the second edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the second edge of the second sheet; the third edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the third edge of the second sheet; and the fourth edge of the first sheet is in register with and bonded to the fourth edge of the second sheet. The central portions of the first and second sheets are substantially not bonded together. Thus, two layers of sterilization material is provided for an article to be sterilized.

There is provided an improved two-ply sterilization wrap and a method for using the improved sterilization wrap to sterilize an article. The wrap is made of a single sheet of sterilization material. The sheet is folded forming at least one fold. The folded sheet forms first and second overlapping panels and two layers of sterilization material. Preferably, the panels are bonded to each other. The folded single sheet provides two layers of sterilization material covering the article to be sterilized.

Two-ply sterilization wrap and method for sterilizing an article

A disposable, foldable face mask with face seal characteristics consistent with the use of high efficiency filtering media. The mask is made of a single multi-layer, generally rectangular sheet of filter material, and at least one of an outer facing layer and an inner facing layer may include a binder to impart stiffness. The generally rectangular sheet has a generally straight top edge, a pair of generally straight side edges shorter than the top edge and defining respective top corners with the top edge, and a bottom edge. Midway between the side edges a fold line extends perpendicularly from the top edge to a termination point. The bottom edge has a configuration which is symmetrical on either side of the fold line, and includes a pair of side portions which define respective bottom corners with the side edges. The sheet is laterally folded on the fold line. On either side of the fold line bottom edge portions are joined such that a mask body is formed. The mask body is essentially flat for storage and, when unfolded, has an opening defined by the sheet top and side edges and sized to cover the nose and mouth of a wearer. Attached to the inside surface of the sheet with reference to the opening adjacent the edges defining the opening is a 'tacky' foam sealing strip which slightly adheres to the face of the wearer. Alternatively 'tacky' tape which slightly adheres to the face of the wearer may be employed.

Disposable face mask

A disposable, foldable face mask with face seal characteristics consistent with the use of high efficiency filtering media. The mask is made of a single multi-layer, generally rectangular sheet of filter material having a generally straight top edge, a pair of generally straight side edges shorter than the top edge and defining respective top corners with the top edge, and a bottom edge. Midway between the side edges a fold line extends perpendicularly from the top edge to a termination point. The bottom edge has a configuration which is symmetrical on either side of the fold line, and includes a pair of side portions which define respective bottom corners with the side edges. The side portions of the bottom edge extend from the bottom corners to respective transition points. Between the transition points and the fold line termination point there is a generally triangular cutout, such that further portions of the bottom edge extend to the fold line termination point. The sheet is laterally folded on the fold line. On either side of the fold line, the bottom edge side portions and the bottom edge further portions are joined such that a mask body is formed. The mask body is essentially flat for storage and, when unfolded, has an opening defined by the sheet top and side edges and sized to cover the nose and mouth of a wearer. A mask tieing device, such as a pair of conventional ties, is attached to the corners.

Disposable face mask and method of manufacture

There is provided an improved disposable shoecover which is particularly useful in medical environments. A strip of stretchable foam material on the bottom of the shoecover provides greatly improved anti-skid properties.

A flood water containment bag constructed of lightweight, inexpensive porous material with a quantity of water absorbent material therein which increases substantially in volume and weight when it absorbs water entering into the interior of the bag. The bag can be easily and quickly transported to a point of use and arranged in a plurality of superimposed courses when in a flattened lightweight condition and will expand to form a water barrier or wall. Fastener strips are attached to top and bottom surfaces of the horizontally arranged bags to enable them to be interconnected to stabilize the formed barrier.
