The present invention relates to a method for preventing the deposition of contaminants in steam systems. In a method of this type, deposits are prevented in a simple and economic manner by metering an additive into the steam, which additive adheres to the steam-side surface of the steam system and has the effect of repelling moisture and contaminants.

Method and device for preventing deposits in steam systems

In a once-through steam generator, a separating bottle (25) is inserted between the evaporator (22) and the superheater (23). To purify the water/steam circuit, a greater quantity of water than is necessary is conveyed through the evaporator (22) via a feed pump (20). The water quantity is measured in such a way that wet steam enters the separating bottle (25). This water fraction, together with all the impurities contained therein, is separated in said bottle and is drawn off via a blowdown line (29). On the occasion of overfeeding, a conditioning agent is metered to the water, in order to reduce the volatility of the substances to be separated.

A process and a device for detecting the occurrence of corrosion during the operation of steam turbines are disclosed, wherein working medium is taken from the steam turbine and partially condensed. The condensate is separated from the remaining steam and the quantities of both the remaining steam and the condensate are determined. The condensate is continuously examined for aggressive materials. The condensate is then subjected to chemical and physical analysis in a test apparatus. To detect corrosivity, a prestressed metal test piece and a metal bursting disc are arranged in a condensate vessel in contact with the condensate.
