A cover for a valved dispensing closure prevents the valve from opening while the cover is disposed on closure. The cover's central projection prevents flaps formed in the valve from opening, and the cover's outer projection prevents the flexible valve head from moving or inverting. The cover may also have projections that project inwardly from its skirt. The cover projections interact with mating projections formed on an exterior of the closure, and a lower end of the skirt may be disposed into an annular groove in the closure, to enhance a seal between the closure and the cover.

A dispensing closure for a container that contains a flowable product such as a bath gel includes a body member that is constructed and arranged to be mounted to the container, that includes a dispensing opening and a further includes an upper deck portion, a lid member that is hinged to the body member and that includes a cover portion and at least one downwardly depending sidewall, and a snap fit mechanism for releasably locking the lid member to the body member. The downwardly depending sidewall portion of the lid member and the upper deck portion of the body member are advantageously configured to form therebetween a watertight seal when the lid member is in the closed position.

A valved dispensing closure is adapted to be mounted on a resiliently deformable bottle. The valved closure has a self-sealing dispensing valve mounted internally of the base of the closure by a securement in the form of an internally mounted retaining ring or inner deformable plug. A protective cover is adapted to extend over the side and top of the base to protect the valve from inadvertent activation. A tamper evident part is at the bottom of the base to visually indicate when the closure is removed after having been applied on the container after it is filled with product to be dispensed.

A single piece push-pull dispenser for sealing water, juice, detergent containers and the like is provided. The push-pull dispenser has a tubular skirt sized to longitudinally adjustably engage the exterior sidewall of a container neck, and a cylindrical plug disposed within the tubular skirt, sized to engage and seal the mouth of the container neck. The outside perimeter of the cylindrical plug and the inside wall of the tubular skirt are spaced, defining an annular orifice. The cylindrical plug is connected to the tubular skirt by at least one spoke connector which bridges the annular orifice. The push-pull dispenser is longitudinally adjustable along the container neck so that in its lower, closed position, the cylindrical plus seals the container neck. In an upper, open position, the cylindrical plug disengages and unseals the neck permitting the contents to flow through the annular orfice.
