Systems, apparatuses, and methods for gap-based antenna measurement for antenna switch diversity, where there are fewer number of receivers or transmitters than the number of available antennas. The receivers may switch to additional antennas during a gap and switch back to the previous antennas. A device may select which antennas to use for communications based at least on measurements of additional antennas, thus supporting antenna switch diversity despite having fewer number of receiver chains.

Gap-based antenna measurement for antenna switch diversity

Aspects described herein relate to using antenna-switched diversity (ASDIV) in wireless communications. A serving node can be communicated with using a serving radio access technology (RAT) and based on an ASDIV configuration, wherein the ASDIV configuration defines an antenna switching configuration including a state of one or more switches in an ASDIV switch group for switching between one or more antennas for the communicating based on sensing one or more parameters of the communicating. It can be determined whether a target RAT supports operating using a same ASDIV switch group as the serving RAT. A target node can be communicated with using the target RAT and based on the ASDIV configuration where the target RAT operates using the same ASDIV switch group as the serving RAT.

Access terminals are adapted to facilitate tune-away operations in situations in which multiple subscriptions are employed. According to one example, an access terminal performing an acquisition procedure for a first subscription may suspend the acquisition procedure to obtain a paging message for a second subscription. The access terminal can tune away from the first subscription to the second subscription and monitor for a mobile-terminated page. After a mobile-terminated page associated with the second subscription is received and processed, the access terminal may resume the acquisition procedure for the first subscription. Apparatus and methods for facilitating tune-away operations in wireless communications systems

Apparatus and methods are described herein for detecting pilot signals. An access terminal determines whether each pilot signal in its active set can be tracked. If not, the access terminal adjusts the search window center associated with any untracked pilot to a position that allows tracking. In some aspects, a known search window center of a tracked member of a same pilot group may be used.

Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage media are disclosed for reducing power by reducing hardware-thread toggling in a multi-processor. In a particular embodiment, a method is disclosed that includes collecting data from a plurality of software threads being processed by a processor, where the data for each of the events includes a value of an associated clock cycle counter upon occurrence of the event. Data is correlated for the events occurring for each of the plurality of threads by starting each of a plurality of clock cycle counters associated with the software threads at a common time. Alternatively, data is correlated for the events by logging a synchronizing event within each of the plurality of software threads.
