A burner assembly includes a burner box that defines an enclosure that has a burner plate opening. A mixing tube is in fluid communication with the burner box through a mixing tube opening that extends through the burner box. A baffle creates an enclosure that at least partially separates the mixing tube opening from the burner plate opening.

A method of calibrating a furnace includes determining a first flame stabilization period for the furnace that avoids detachment of a flame from a burner within a burner box of the furnace, determining a second flame stabilization period that is longer than the first flame stabilization period and avoids emission of a combustion tone from the furnace, and configuring a controller of the same or another furnace to utilize a flame stabilization period that has a duration between the first and second flame stabilization periods. Each flame stabilization period commences upon ignition of a premixed mixture of air and fuel at the burner while an inducer fan operates within a first range of fan speeds, and terminates when the rotational speed of the inducer fan increases to a second range speeds that is greater than the entire first range.

Method and apparatus for mitigating premix burner combustion tone

A collar configured to couple a burner to a partition plate is provided including a body having a diameter configured to couple to a diameter of the burner. A flange extends outwardly from the body. The collar is formed from a heat resistance material such that heat transfer between the burner and the partition plate is limited.

A gas manifold assembly for delivering fuel from a fuel source to a burner assembly includes a gas manifold tube configured to deliver fuel from the fuel source and a stub tube mounted to and arranged in fluid communication with the burner assembly. An end of the gas manifold tube is connectable to the stub tube to form a slip joint.

A refractory panel for a heat exchanger is provided having a body including a first planar surface having a plurality of refractory openings formed therein. A sidewall is arranged about a periphery of at least one of the plurality of refractory openings. The sidewall extends outwardly from the first planar surface and is configured to extend through an adjacent component into an inlet of a heat exchanger coil.

A burner assembly is provided including a plurality of burners. Each burner includes a burner tube having an inlet, an outlet, and a burner axis. A partition plate is arranged generally perpendicular to a horizontal plane defined by the plurality of burner axes. The partition plate includes a plurality of partition openings complementary to and arranged coaxially with the plurality of burners. An igniter is located near the plurality of burners and is configured to ignite a fuel and air mixture provided at the outlet of the burners. An ignited carryover includes a substantially identical first opening and second opening formed in the partition plate adjacent the igniter. The first opening and second openings are sized such that a sufficient amount of the fuel and air mixture reaches the igniter without cooling the igniter.

A burner assembly for a gas furnace including a partition panel including an upstream side, a downstream side, at least two partition openings, and an intermediate transverse slot in communication with each of the at least two partition openings, wherein each partition opening is located adjacent to one another, and at least two burners configured to fire inward, the at least two burners operably coupled to the upstream side, wherein each burner is substantially aligned with each respective partition opening.

For example, the system can include sensors for pressure, temperature, pH, various different chemical constituents of urine, sodium, potassium, glucose, drug markers, drug metabolites, specific gravity, proteins, leukocyte esterase, nitrites, urobilinogen, whole or crenated blood cells, ketones, bilirubin, turbidity or color, the sensors being connected to transmission means for delivering signals representative of the properties detected by the sensors.

A system for controlling drainage of the female bladder comprising a valved catheter, a stylet for placing the catheter in the female urethra, and a spike for opening the valve in the catheter to allow voiding of the contents of the bladder. The system also includes a sizing device for determining the length of the urethra so that the proper fitting catheter is used. The catheter comprises a hollow shaft with a extendable holding portion on one end for placement through the urethra and a crown on the other end for placement external of the body. The valve nay integral with the shaft or insertable after the catheter is placed in the urethra.

The present invention relates to a method for treating and disposing of materials contaminated with blood such as blood soaked menstrual pads or tampons. The invention further relates to a system for decontaminating and disposing of blood soaked products comprising a bag containing a disinfecting material, the bag having a readily openable portion for placing the blood soaked product into the bag and in contact with the disinfecting material and then resealing the bag to prevent its contents from contaminating the surroundings. Once resealed, the seal can not be removed without destroying the seal.

An apparatus for supporting a rock bit during a welding operation for assembly or replacement of components thereon includes a swivel supporting a receptacle for the bit. The receptacle and swivel include a closed fluid system which attaches to the bit thereby allowing coolant fluid to flow through the bit during a welding operation and without regard to the angular positioning of the bit relative to the welding apparatus.
