A method provides for the traction control of a maglev car on a maglev track. A levitation magnetic field is produced by supplying a levitation magnetic flux on the car side to at least two levitation magnets to produce a defined air gap between the maglev car and a reaction rail on the track side. A stator current is supplied to the stator to produce a propulsion force on the maglev track, the propulsion force acts upon the maglev car being determined by the magnetic coupling between the magnetic stator field and the magnetic levitation field. An oscillating movement of the maglev car in relation to the magnetic stator field is dampened by changing the magnetic coupling between the magnetic stator field and the magnetic levitation field on the car side. The levitation magnets are operated on the car side with at least two different individual levitation magnetic fluxes.

Method and device for controlling the drive of a magnetic levitation vehicle on a magnetic levitation track

A method for measuring the pole position of a magnetic levitation vehicle on a magnetic levitation track. The pole orientation angle between the stator magnetic field of a track side stator and the magnetic reference axis of the magnetic levitation vehicle is determined by way of measured values from magnetic field sensors. The measured values for the stator magnetic field are measured using at least three magnetic field sensors, arranged along the vehicle longitudinal direction, a field strength value is determined for each measured value from the magnetic field sensors for each magnetic field sensor position and the pole orientation angle determined from at least a subset of the measured values from the magnetic field sensors when the determined field strength values meet given minimum requirements and, if not, an error signal is generated.

Method and device for measuring the pole orientation angle of a magnetic levitation vehicle on a magnetic levitation track

In one embodiment, a method for determining the distance of a conducting surface profiled in a direction of distance determination from a functional surface moving relative to the profiled surface is disclosed. The method includes connecting inputs of a sensor to an oscillator arrangement. The sensor includes a first and a second measuring coil. The method includes further connecting outputs of the sensor to an analog-to-digital converter via a demodulator unit to obtain first and second digital measured values. The first and second digital measured values correspond to the distance between the profiled surface and the first and second measuring coil of the sensor, respectively. The method further includes connecting an arithmetic unit to the analog converter unit. The second measurement coil is arranged at a known distance from the first measuring coil on the side of the first measuring coil that faces away from the profiled surface. The method finally includes calculating, using the first and second digital measured value and a reference digital value and the fixed distance, a distance measured value giving the distance of the functional surface from the profiled surface. The reference digital value corresponding to the measured value from a reference coil. The reference coil is assigned to the first and second measuring coils and the reference coil is located outside the range of influence of the profiled surface.

Method and system for determining the distance between a profiled surface and a functional surface moving in relation thereto by using measurement coils and a reference coil

A method for measuring the gap between a levitation magnet of a vehicle of a magnetic levitation railway and a fixed reaction rail of the magnetic levitation railway and for generating a gap measured value which specifies the size of the gap. In order to form the gap measured value, the magnetic field, which is generated by the levitation magnet, or at least a measured variable associated with the field is evaluated.

A method for measuring the pole position of a magnetic levitation vehicle in a magnetic levitation railway, wherein a supporting magnetic field is generated on the maglev vehicle as a result of a supporting magnetic current on the vehicle side being fed to at least one supporting magnet. The voltage in the stator on the track is measured and the pole position angle between a reference axis of the stator and a reference axis of the maglev vehicle is determined. The magnitude of the supporting magnetic current on the vehicle side and thus the supporting magnetic field is temporally modified and a voltage induced in the stator by the temporal modification of the magnitude of the supporting magnetic field is detected. The pole position angle is formed using the measured values for the induced voltage.

A cost-effective system provides reliable location information for locating a vehicle tied to a guideway. Reference markers are mounted to the guideway and scanning devices are disposed in the vehicle and generate at least one output signal when they pass a reference marker. The scanning devices are formed from several individual sensors which are extended in the driving direction with an average scanning length equal to or greater than a distance between neighboring reference markers.

A method for measuring the pole position angle between the magnetic field of a track-side stator of a magnetic levitation train track and the magnetic reference axis of a magnetic levitation vehicle located on the track. When the levitation magnet of the magnetic levitation vehicle is energized, a direction component of the magnetic field of the stator, which component is predefined by a preferred measurement direction of the magnetic field sensors, is measured using a pair of magnetic field sensors, and the pole position angle is determined using the measured values of the two magnetic field sensors. The preferred measurement direction is set in such a way that at least one of the two magnetic field sensors has a minimum measurement sensitivity for the magnetic field of the levitation magnet.

An aim of at least one embodiment of the invention is to reduce ripple forces in a magnetic levitation transport system to the largest extent. In one solution, an example embodiment of the invention provides that grooves extending transversal to the longitudinal direction are diagonally oriented in a magnet block for the long stator. In another solution, an example embodiment of the invention provides that, in a magnet block for the levitation magnet of a magnetic levitation transport system, pole heads, with regard to their outer areas, which extend next to outer grooves, are provided in a varied and complementary manner in the direction of the grooves whereby the overall width of both outer areas along the grooves always corresponds to the width of a tooth between the grooves. An embodiment of the invention also relates to a method for producing this magnet block.

Magnet block for a magnetic levitation transport system and method for the production thereof

A distance sensor configuration for a magnet of the levitation magnet of a magnetic levitation transport system equipped with a number of distance sensors. Each distance sensor has a distance measuring coil acted upon by an operating frequency and can be placed in an installation space on the magnet. In order to obtain reliable distance measurement values by using a distance sensor configuration of the aforementioned type, the distance measuring coil of each distance sensor is connected to a programmable module for generating an operating frequency. The distance sensor contains a location information querying device for querying an installation space-specific location information providing device in the installation space. The location information querying device is connected on the input side to the programmable module.

Distance sensor arrangement for a magnet of the levitation magnet of a magnetic levitation transport system

A long stator motor, particularly for driving a magnetic levitation transport system, includes a stator iron, inside of which grooves for accommodating cable windings are provided. At least two cable windings are placed one above the other by running at least two cables inside each groove.

A method is for securing a laminated core, used to accommodate the stator winding of a linear motor, to a track. In particular, the track is for a magnetic levitation transport system. Provision is made for an installation module to be connected to the track and to have at least one pair of holes then aligned transversely with respect to the direction of travel in parallel, uncovered side walls. The laminated core, in which there is at least one channel, is then inserted into the installation module in a manner held by a clamping device until the at least one channel in the laminated core forms a continuous opening with the at least one pair of holes. A tube is then pushed into this opening and fixed there. The clamping device is then removed.

Method for securing a laminated core for the stator winding of a linear motor to the track

A method is for operating a vehicle of a magnetic levitation railway on a route which is fitted with a stator with a stator winding. There is provision for the time profile of the strength of the current to be measured in each provided supply phase of the stator winding. In addition, in the region of the respective supply phase on the route, the time profile of the magnetic flux of the magnetic leakage field emanating from the vehicle is measured. The force acting on the vehicle is then determined from current strength values, assigned magnetic fluxes and a motor constant of the vehicle. The force which is determined is compared with a threshold value and when the force deviates greatly the energy supply to the stator winding is interrupted.
