Bottom for a food container

A base for displaying and holding shrimp comprises a well having a bottom wall, and a first side wall. The bottom wall has a surface for holding a sauce receptacle. The first side wall encompassing and extends upwardly and outwardly from the bottom wall. The first side wall has a plurality of slots each for displaying and holding an individual shrimp. Each slot has a section extending outwardly as viewed from an interior of the well. The base also includes a peripheral trough having a second side wall, a trough bottom wall and an outer wall. The second side wall encompasses and extends downwardly from an upper portion of said first side wall.

Cover for a food container

An individual serving food container is provided for housing individual servings of food products, such as pie slices and the like, which are generally triangular or wedge shaped and have an outwardly extending 'crust' portion. The container includes a tray/cover combination having means for supporting the crust portions of such food product servings from collapsing when housed within the container. The rear wall of the tray has a transverse edge thereof remote from the bottom wall which extends rearwardly therefrom to define a platform adapted to support the outwardly extending crust portion of the wedge-shaped food serving contained in the housing cavity. The container is also provided with means facilitating removal of stored individual servings therefrom and guide means for facilitating proper alignment of locking elements disposed on the cover and tray so as to simplify the locking operation.

An adapter has a cannula to deliver a drug to the interior of a vial. The vial contains a plunger that has a penetratable self-sealing rubber diaphragm, as is common. The adapter comprises a barrel adapted to fit over and telescope onto the vial, with a cannula rigidly mounted axially in the barrel and long enough to reach the bottom of the vial after penetrating the rubber diaphragm. The barrel incorporates fins that stabilize the cannula axially. Cover plugs are provided to close both the barrel and the vial before use. When the covers are removed and the barrel s fitted down over the vial, the cannula projects beyond the fins to penetrate the plunger and push the plunger to the bottom of the vial. The long barrel and the rigidly maintained cannula insure that the cannula cannot contact the inner wall of the vial.
