The present invention relates to an extendable folding saw that is lightweight and compact when retracted yet rigid when extended. In one embodiment, the extendable folding saw can have a folding saw and a removably attached extension. The folding saw can have a grip and a pivotally attached saw. The extension can comprise several members that are compactable to a length not much greater than the length of the longest individual member. The members of the extension can have a generally I shaped profile. The extension rod can be attached to the folding saw in a snap-fitting manner for use. A retracted folding saw can be snapped side-by-side to a retracted to extension rod for storage.

A rotary brush turf sweeper includes a frame with a first and second brush carriage supporting a first and second rotary brush. The brush carriages include a first and second carriage bar extending lengthwise along the first and second rotary brush. The brush carriages pivotably attach to the frame by a mounting point on opposing ends of the first brush carriage, allowing the brush carriages to rotate about the attachment point. A brush height adjustment mechanism joins the carriage bars with an electronic actuator. The electronic actuator may be remotely operated to adjust the height of the rotary brushes from a work surface and elevate them so as not to touch the work surface. A first and second drive mechanism transfers rotational force from a pair of drive wheels, so that the rotary brushes always rotate as the device is towed by a vehicle.

A lockout device for a handle assembly includes first and second lockout members each including an outward facing base wall and outward extending first and second projections. The first and second projections of the first base member are spaced apart to receive the handle therebetween, and the first and second projections of the second base member are spaced apart to receive the handle latch therebetween. The first and second lockout members are pivotable with respect to each other to a lockout position for engagement of the base walls of the first and second lockout members with facing surfaces of a handle and a handle latch of the handle assembly. When the first and second lockout members are secured between the handle and the handle latch in the lockout position, the first and second lockout members block movement of the handle latch to prevent rotational movement of the handle assembly.

Preferred embodiments of housings for an automatic meter reading device permit the automatic meter reading device to be mounted on a meter such as a water meter, or on a wall remote from the meter. A removable portion of the housing can be separated from a body of the housing when the housing is used to mount the automatic meter reading device on the meter.

An electric meter comprises an electronics housing and a meter base. The electronics housing defines a front panel and includes a first plurality of option board guides. A main meter board is disposed substantially parallel to the front panel. The meter base defines a rear panel of the electric meter. The meter base includes a plurality of housing guides for receiving the electronics housing and a second plurality of option board guides disposed substantially perpendicularly to the rear panel. The second plurality of option board guides are adapted to receive an option board and to position the option board substantially perpendicularly to the main meter board of the electronics housing during assembly of the electronics housing to the meter base. The housing guides in combination with the first and second pluralities of option board guides enable blind assembly of the electronics housing to the meter base.

Mechanical packaging apparatus and methods for an electrical energy meter

A valve lock for securing the handle of a pipe. The valve lock includes a first housing having first and second contact points for engaging the pipe and a retention chamber that receives the handle. The first housing is in a final position to prevent rotation of the handle when the retention chamber receives the handle and the first and second contact points are seated against the pipe. A second housing has a third contact point for engaging the pipe and a lock member for disposition relative to the first housing when the first housing is in the final position and the third contact point is seated against the pipe. The lock member receives the shackle of a padlock to secure the lock member to the first housing.
