A variety of dispensing manifolds which are removable connectable to a single deformable container having a single exit portion are disclosed. The dispensing manifolds of the present disclosure provide a single deformable container having a single exit with one or more outlets from which a fluid can be controllably dispensed. The present disclosure also provides a single force generation mechanism, a deformable container holding a fluid or substance, and dispensing mechanisms all on one machine, i.e., a carrier; a system that may also include a pressurized air source that assists a flow of a fluid; and a system that allows for a continuous flow a substance. The systems of the present disclosure provide a deformable container and a method of dispensing wherein, during dispensing, an actuation member is continuously free of contact with the fluid or substance within the container and the actuation member only contacts the exterior surface of the deformable container.

Fluid dispensing systems

A coating applicator that applies a coating or liquid to a variety of different substrates having different contoured surfaces is disclosed. A coating applicator of the present disclosure is able to reach, contact, and cover the entirety of a contoured substrate. In this manner, the coating applicator is able to transfer a coating to the entirety of the contoured substrate. Additionally, fluid application systems of the present disclosure include systems for advantageously providing a fluid to a fluid applicator.

A manifold having a first side, a second side, a first channel extending from the first side to the second side, and a second channel extending from the first side to the second side is disclosed. The first channel and the second channel each define a linear longitudinal axis. In one embodiment, the first channel longitudinal axis and the second channel longitudinal axis are oblique to the first side and the second side of the manifold. The manifold of the present disclosure provides channels that can be easily cleaned and allow for an increased flow performance.

A manifold that allows for increased flow performance, at a reduced pressure, and a flow path that is easily maintained, and fluid dispensing systems that allow for the precise, controlled spacing of beads of multiple component adhesives, and other liquids, and allow for multiple beads to be dispensed onto a substrate simultaneously are disclosed. A control portion for a manifold that solves the disadvantages relating to scaling an open channel and a carrier that provides a mechanism for applying an adhesive and/or a two-part adhesive easier are disclosed.

An orally administered composition that includes least one alkaline agent with a pH of at least 9.0 to 12.0, mixed in an aqueous vehicle with relatively high surface tension, high viscosity and lateral adhesion properties. When mixed, a low water soluble emulsion is formed that evenly coats and partially adheres to the lower section of the esophagus and the LES and forms a relatively long acting, protective barrier and partially neutralizes gastric acid. Mixed in the composition is at least one catechin 0.01 to 0.05% by weight. The alkaline agent is potassium hydroxide and the aqueous vehicle is made of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol or ethylene glycol and additional thickener agents capable of withstanding high pH environments, such as xanthan gum, croscarmellose sodium, and microcrystalline cellulose. Additional organoleptic agents, such as gum Arabic and polyethylene glycol, flavorings, such as sodium chloride, acesulfame potassium, sodium saccharine, and mint, and stabilizers such as colloidal silica made be added.

Method and composition for treating gastro-esophageal disorders

A substance dispensing system that includes a hydraulic drive system is disclosed. The hydraulic drive system includes a hydraulic valve having a variable pressure setting, the hydraulic valve operable between a closed position in which a hydraulic pump moves hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic cylinder and an open position in which the hydraulic pump moves the hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic reservoir. The substance dispensing system of the present disclosure provides a system that recirculates hydraulic fluid in a hydraulic drive system instead of recirculating a substance back to a container via a pump. The substance dispensing system of the present disclosure allows for precise, accurate, and instantaneous control of an external force in a substance dispensing system.

Substance dispensing system

A confinement structure and an actuation member that provides a system that allows for controllable deformation of a variety of containers are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system of the present disclosure provides for controllable deformation of a container such that a portion of the container acts as a wiping means to empty a substance from the container. A container that includes an indentation formed on a first end of the container and a container opening located at a second end of the container is also disclosed. In one embodiment, with the container deformed to a final position, the indentation fits inside the container opening to completely expel a substance from the container.
