An alignment device for attachment to a mounting support for vehicle front ends, whereby the alignment device is configured to receive a crash box that connects the mounting support to a bumper bracket. The alignment device includes a first abutment element and a second abutment element between which the crash box can be inserted and which are provided upon receiving the crash box to rest on opposite sides of the crash box. At least one abutment element is designed such that when receiving the crash box, it presses the same against the other abutment element, whereby one or more holding devices are provided on at least one of the first or second abutment elements that serve to limit the insertion of the crash box into the alignment device.

Alignment devices

The invention relates to a heat exchanger assembly, in particular a radiator assembly for the front section of a motor vehicle, including a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is configured in several parts in the form of heat exchanger elements, i.e. at least one primary heat exchanger and at least one secondary heat exchanger, and at least two of the heat exchanger elements can be displaced in relation to one another in the event of a crash.

Heat exchanger assembly for the front section of a motor vehicle

An assembly support with hybrid structure for front ends of passenger vehicles and light trucks includes an upper cross member (), a lateral member () attached to it from below with a flange plate () for connection with the face ends of vehicle longitudinal members and a lower cross member () connecting the lower sections () of these lateral members (). In order to reinforce the assembly support in the area of the lower cross member (), the lower cross member () consists of a shell body () with a flange () running along its edge and projecting outward, and of a sealing part () whose edge area overlaps it. The shell body () and the sealing part () are made of a stiff material, whereby the flange () and edge areas () of the above-mentioned components are surrounded by injected plastic used for the hybrid structure, and are thus bound together with the lateral members ().

Hybrid-structure assembly support

A flange connection between a longitudinal beam of a vehicle as a first component and a carrier element, which can be mounted to it, as a second component, whereby a flange plate operatively mounted to either the first or second component and a counter flange plate operatively mounted to the other of the first or second component. To hold the flange plate tight to the counter flange plate, a wedge effect is used. A connection bolt having a wedge slope protrudes from the flange plate, wherein the wedge slope extends in a cross direction. The counter flange plate has a feed-through opening for the connection bolt, and wherein a locking component is placed at its inner side. In the connected position, the locking component surrounds the locking bolt and establishes a wedge surface that interacts with its wedge slope. Furthermore, the locking component exhibits at a side opposite the wedge surface, a clamping screw that can be tightened against the connection bolt.
