A blow molded container provides protection for electrically sensitive devices by including antistatic agents in the outer layer and electrically conductive agents in the inner layer of a multilayer parison used to form a container. The invention renders the use of separate antistatic foam pads unnecessary by providing an antistatic surface in the container when closed.

A storage container for electrostatic discharge sensitive devices comprises an enclosable polymeric outer shell, a polymeric inner shell disposed within the outer shell, grooves in the inner shell for accommodating electrostatic discharge sensitive devices, and means for affixing the inner shell to the outer shell.

An integral hinged blow molded container having a single wall is produced by inflating a parison within a mold having a hinge forming area with a draw ratio of greater than 1 whereby the parison is reduced to thickness within the hinge forming area relative to the adjacent area. The thus formed parison is severed about a circumference adjacent the formed hinge to create a top portion and a bottom portion openable and closable about the hinge.
