Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion with a back portion having a back wall portion including a ledge portion defined by a portion of the back wall portion extending outward, a face portion, a filler material in an interior cavity of the body portion, a mass portion, a first port above the ledge portion and a second port below the ledge portion configured to receive the mass portion. The ledge portion extends from a location at a center portion of the back wall portion toward the toe portion edge and toward the heel portion edge. The diameter of the second port is greater than a diameter of the first port. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a sole portion, a front portion, a back portion, and an interior cavity. The interior cavity may include a central portion, a first internal channel extending from the toe portion to the central portion, and a second internal channel extending from the heel portion to the central portion. A face portion may be attached to the front portion to enclose the interior cavity. A first filler material may be in the central portion of the interior cavity. A second filler material may be in the first internal channel and the second internal channel. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion with a first interior portion and a second interior portion, at least a portion of the first interior portion is separated from at least a portion of the second interior portion. The golf club also includes a mass portion coupled to the body portion below a horizontal midplane of the body portion, a port on the body portion, a first filler material at least partially filling the first interior portion, and a second filler material at least partially filling the second interior portion. Golf club head

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a face portion for striking a golf ball and an enclosed interior cavity. A filler material may be inside the interior cavity and may reinforce the face portion. The filler material may include a low density polymer material to enable discretionary mass placement to other areas of the golf club head to improve certain mass properties of the golf club head. Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a front portion, a rear portion, a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a bottom portion, a face portion, and a periphery. The bottom portion may include a forward portion and a rear protrusion at or proximate the rear portion. A recessed portion is positioned between the forward portion and the rear protrusion and includes a plurality of contoured transition regions defining an opening. A shoulder portion is adjoined to the plurality of contoured transition regions. One or more connecting members extend across the opening to adjoin opposing portions of the shoulder portion. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a hosel portion configured to attach to a shaft and located heel-ward of a center longitudinal plane, the horizontal plane being parallel to a ground plane, and the vertical plane being perpendicular to the horizontal plane, the ground plane, and the center longitudinal plane. A center of gravity of the golf club head is located on an intersection between the horizontal plane and the vertical plane. The hosel portion is configured to orient the shaft such that a shaft axis intersects the horizontal plane and the vertical plane at an intersection point located toe-ward from the center of gravity. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion, a first interior cavity portion, and a face portion, which includes a back surface with a face perimeter portion, a ridge portion extending from the face perimeter portion, and a wall portion coupled to the ridge portion and extending outward from the ridge portion to define a second interior cavity portion in the body portion. The golf club head further includes a first filler material and a second filler material. The first interior cavity portion is at least partially filled with the first filler material, and the second interior cavity portion is at least partially filled with the second filler material. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion, a crown portion having a composite material, a first groove on a bottom portion extending in a heel-to-toe direction, a second groove on the bottom portion extending in a heel-to-toe direction, a first set of ports on the bottom portion between the first groove and the second groove, a second set of ports on the bottom portion between the second groove and a rear portion, and a filler material in the body portion between the first groove and the rear portion. Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a putter-type golf club head includes a body portion and a retention cavity extending into the body portion and having an opening and one or more interior side walls. The retention cavity defines two or more ball retention areas for frictionally engaging and retaining a golf ball within the retention cavity. The two or more ball retention areas frictionally engage the golf ball along a ball circumference located above an equator of the golf ball at a distance greater than or equal to 0.050 inches (0.127 centimeters) and less than or equal to 0.070 inches (0.178 centimeters). The golf club head has a head mass greater than or equal to 300 grams and less than or equal to 400 grams. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

The distance between each port of the first set of ports and the face portion is less than a distance between each port of the second set of ports and the face portion. The toe-side cavity portion is at least partially filled with the second filler material from the first port or the second port, and heel-side cavity portion is at least partially filled with the second filler material from the first port or second port. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion including a toe portion edge, a heel portion edge, a face portion, an interior portion, and first and second ports connected to the interior portion; a mass portion; and a filler material between the face portion and the mass portion. The mass portion has a different shape than the first port or the second port, a distance between the second port and the toe portion edge is greater than a distance between the mass portion and the toe portion edge, and a distance between the first port and the heel portion edge is greater than a distance between the second port and the heel portion edge. Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes body portion having an interior portion and an exterior portion, a first mass portion coupled to the exterior portion of the body portion below a horizontal midplane of the body portion, and a second mass portion coupled to the interior portion of the body portion. The second mass portion is located proximate to a toe portion edge of the body portion and has a shape at least partially corresponding to a shape of a portion of the toe portion edge. The second mass portion increases in mass in a top-to-sole direction, and more than 50% of the mass of the second mass portion is below the horizontal midplane.
