A secure truck box system discretely holds and protects items within a box accessible only using a remote control. The system includes a truck having a sidewall extending along a bed. An enclosure has an open top and a perimeter wall coupled to the bed and the sidewall defining an interior space with the sidewall and the bed. A case is positioned within the interior space. The case has a solid top panel and a storage section extending downwardly from the top panel. A lift elevates and lowers the case. The top panel is coextensive with and obstructs the open top when the case is fully retracted into the interior space. The lift is actuated only by manipulation of a remote control.

Secure truck box system

A display apparatus for an electronic device which takes on the appearance of an unrelated object is disclosed. The electronic device display apparatus has an upper surface, wherein the upper surface is shaped to resemble an unrelated object. A portion of the upper surface is moveable between an open position and a closed position. When closed, the movable surface completes the upper surface and further enhances the display properties of the device. When open, the device is suitable for holding and displaying an electronic device. Interior to the apparatus are one or more electronic device supporting surfaces to support the electronic device at the desired display position. Also interior to the apparatus is a passage which permits a user to thread or otherwise route a battery charging cord into the apparatus. The apparatus also has a bottom surface which can resemble the underside of the unrelated object.

A retaining envelope is provided for a computer disk which consists of a pocket sized to receive the computer disk therein. A structure is for securing the pocket to a flat article for retainment thereto, so that the computer disk is in a safe and convenient location.

A hand-held, portable device for keeping track of the in-play and error shots of a specific type of shot made by a player in a sports event, comprises at least a first display for indicating at least the percentage of the cumulative number of in-play shots relative to the cumulative number of the total in-play and error shots; a first key switch for inputting each in-play shot; a second key switch for inputting each error shot; and a microprocessor for keeping track of the total number of in-play and error shots and for calculating at least the percentage of the cumulative number of the in-play shots relative to the cumulative number of the shots made by the player, whereby the percentage display is updated each time one of the first and second key switches is depressed.

An arrangement and device for on-line liquid sampling in which small samples of a liquid, particularly a sterilizable liquid, flowing through a pipe are periodically withdrawn. Sterilization of the sampling device together with a collecting container attached thereto is made possible without exposure of the device to the atmosphere as the device is mounted on the pipe. This is achieved by enveloping the sampling device with the collection container attached thereto by a flexible, high-temperature resistant enclosure such as a plastic bag, which normally seals off the liquid entry port to the device; sterilizing the device and container assembly in this condition; and providing the pressure air actuated valve in the device which serves to close the normally open valve seat to trap a sample of the liquid, with an extension which punctures the bag adjacent to the entry port incident to the actuation of the valve. The design of the device has also been improved in various respects to simplify its construction and improve its accuracy, convenience and sanitary performance in operation.

On-line liquid samplers

A smoking article includes a generally cylindrically shaped fuel column with a corrugated-shaped channel formed longitudinally through the fuel column and concentric therewith. A flavor releasing material coats the corrugated wall of the channel and the flavor material is aerosolized by the heat generated by the burning of the fuel column when it is ignited. A filter rod is coaxially located at one end of the fuel column.

Smoking article

A cigarette including a tobacco rod circumscribed by a metal foil wrapper and having a cylinder of carbon fuel surrounding the metal foil wrapper tobacco rod. An air permeable outer wrapper circumscribes the cylinder of carbon fuel. A filter plug is located at one end of the cigarette.

Cigarette

A smoking article includes a tobacco column with a gas impermeable tube concentrically located in the tobacco column. The tube is filled with a granular material which is coated with an aerosolizing material. A first chamber is located at one end of the tobacco column with its inlet end in gas flow communication only with the tube, a tobacco rod is located with its inlet end at the discharge end of the first channel, and a second chamber is located in gas flow communication with the discharge end of the tobacco rod. The discharge end of the second chamber is open for discharging gas into the smoker's mouth.

A smoking device having a fuel column circumscribed by a wrapper has a passage with an impermeable wall extending concentrically therethrough and a filter rod at one end of the fuel column in flow communication only with the passage. The passage is filled with a material including an aerosol releasing material. The filter is formed with a pocket coaxial with the tube and the pocket is filled with highly flavorful tobacco.

Smoking device

A tobacco smoke mouthpiece including a smoke impervious plug member having an upstream smoke inlet end and a downstream smoke outlet or mouth end with groove(s) in the periphery of the plug member extending from the inlet end to the mouth end, the plug member being blocked adjacent the inlet end so that the groove(s) forms the path for smoke flow from inlet end to mouth end of the plug member.

Mouthpiece for tobacco smoke article

A smoking article, such as a cigarette, includes, in one advantageous embodiment, a generally cylindrical, hollow tubular mouth section located in coaxial abutment to one end of the tobacco column of the cigarette. The wall of the mouth section is fabricated of an impermeable material. A plurality of grooves are formed in the periphery of the mouth section extending generally longitudinally thereof and being open to at least the mouth end of the mouth section. Air permeable tipping material circumferentially surrounds the mouth section and overlaps a portion of the tobacco column adjacent the mouth section. In a further embodiment of the present invention as discussed above, the tobacco column is two coaxially located tobacco sections with the tobacco section interfacing with the mouth section being of a different density than the other tobacco section. In yet a further embodiment of the present invention, the generally cylindrical, hollow tubular mouth section is formed with flow channels through the mouth section. Ventilation air openings are formed through the wall of the mouth section to provide for the flow of ventilating air into some of the flow channels. Air permeable tipping material circumferentially surrounds the mouth section and overlaps a portion of the tobacco column adjacent the mouth section, the grooves are organized into a plurality of groups, each group including a plurality of grooves to provide for the flow of ventilating air therethrough and through the ventilation air openings of the mouth section into the flow channels.

A filter for a cigarette includes a porous filter rod circumscribed by a non-porous wrapper and a tipping material having selected openings therein for allowing ventilating air to pass therethrough. Spacing members are disposed between the non-porous wrapper and tipping material to form ventilating air channels therebetween.

Cigarette filter

A filter for a cigarette includes a smoke impermeable core of generally cylindrical shape and a smoke permeable material overlaying at least a portion of the periphery of the core. The core with the overlaying permeable material is circumscribed by an air pervious tipping material to form a cigarette filter.

A smoking article, such as a cigarette, includes generally cylindrically shaped, hollow tubular section located in coaxial abutment to one end of the tobacco column of the cigarette and a generally cylindrically shaped filter rod located in coaxial abutment with the tubular section. The wall of the tubular section is fabricated of an impermeable material. A plurality of grooves are formed in the periphery of the tubular section extending generally longitudinally thereof and being open to at least one end of the tubular section. Air permeable tipping material circumferentially surrounds the tubular section and the filter rod, and overlaps a portion of the tobacco column adjacent to the tubular section to fasten the tubular section and filter rod to the tobacco column.

Filtered cigarette

A cigarette filter includes a porous filter element attached to a cigarette, the element circumscribed by ventilating air ducts with an impermeable barrier therebetween so that smoke travels down the filter element and ventilating air travels down the ducts during use. The size of the ducts, the number of ducts, and the flow rate of ventilating air is so defined that substantially all of the smoke is dispersed immediately upon exiting the filter element.
