A multichannel communications device is disclosed. The multichannel communications device includes more than one transceiver. The multichannel communications device also includes a first switch configured for switching between transceivers. Further still, the multichannel communications device includes more than one cryptographic element. Yet further still, the mulitchannel communications device includes a second switch which is configured to switch between the cryptographic elements. A switch policy is configured to control communications between the cryptographic elements, including restricting communications between the cryptographic elements.

Software radio system and method

A multi-channel radio operating with multiple security levels is disclosed. The multi-channel radio includes more than one input/output. Each of the input/outputs corresponds to a security level. The radio also includes a first common bus coupled to the more than one input/output and a first set of more than one processor coupled to the common bus. Each of the first set of processors corresponds to a security level. Further, the radio includes a second set of more than one processors coupled to the first set of processors and more than one transceiver. Each transceiver is coupled to at least one of the processors of the first set of processors.

Fail-safe transmission of multiple independent levels of security using standard data busses apparatus and method

A modular radio includes a chassis holding a network infosec unit module; a power amplifier module; and at least one transceiver module. Each of the modules include a separate housing and is removable and replaceable. The modules communicate via a bus and are reconfigurable along the bus. The transceivers support a channel that may be reprogrammable by the network interface.
