A fabric with a laminated adhesive-backed protective layer. The adhesive-backed protective layer has a matte finish that is low gloss and may approximate the fabric itself.

Low gloss laminated article

Multilayer graphic articles include a graphic substrate, and an overlaminate film laminated to the graphic substrate. The overlaminate film includes a transparent film layer with a fluorochemical-containing acid-resistant layer coated on at least a portion of one surface, and an adhesive layer coated on at least a portion of the opposite surface of the transparent film. The transparent film layer may be a vinyl film layer. The acid resistant layer includes a blend of at least one fluoropolymer and at least one acrylate resin.

Overlaminate films and graphic articles containing them

The present invention is an outdoor advertising or display system including a multi-layer graphic article intended for application to an outdoor surface such as concrete, asphalt and the like. The advertising system includes an imageable base layer and an image-protective surface layer that can be laminated to the base layer following imaging of the base layer. The image-protective surface layer is frictionally modified to provide an anti-skid layer for surface traffic.

Outdoor advertising system

A sign having raised or recessed, three-dimensional graphics and a method of making the sign are disclosed. The sign is fabricated from a laminated, multi-layered blank having a substantially continuous face layer formed of a conformable, thermoplastic material; a substantially continuous middle layer formed of a colored film; and a substantially continuous profile layer formed of a profile film. In use, dimensional characters are cut into the blank through the profile and middle layers only. Unwanted material is weeded out from around the cut, dimensional characters, and the resulting blank is vacuum-thermoformed to cause the uncut face layer to conform to the dimensional characters. A background sheet of a color contrasting to the middle sheet is then laminated to the back of the blank to form the completed sign.

A 3-D graphic sign construction is provided comprising: (a) a conformed laminate comprising a sign face layer, one or more visual characters, a background color layer, and (b) one or more 3-D characters positioned in register with the visual characters and a method of make the same.
