A method can include accessing, from memory, sensor data in response to detecting an incoming communication to a given communication endpoint. The sensor data represents at least one of a condition of the given communication endpoint or a condition of an operating environment associated with the endpoint. The method can also include analyzing the sensor data to determine endpoint condition data corresponding to at least one of a willingness or availability of a user to answer the incoming communication at the given communications endpoint. The method can also include adapting a duration that the incoming communication is offered to the given communication endpoint based on the endpoint condition data.

A distributed VoIP system includes a network and a first switch at a first site coupled to the network. The first switch is configured to provide telephony services to a first communication device. The system also includes a second switch at a second site coupled to the network. The second switch is configured to provide telephony services to a second communication device. The system also includes a spare switch coupled to the network. The spare switch is configured to provide telephony services to the first communication device if the first communication device is unable to register with the first switch, and the spare switch is configured to provide telephony services to the second communication device if the second communication device is unable to register with the second switch.

Systems and methods for utilizing a spare switch in a distributed VOIP system

A simultaneous hunt group system and method are provided. A call status module notices an incoming call to a simultaneous hunt group and offers the call to a plurality of endpoints. One of the plurality of endpoints answers the call. After the call is answered, a resource allocation module allocates resources for a communications channel, and a call transfer module transfers the caller to the agent that answered the call.

A method of on-site refueling, i.e., delivering petroleum and similar products from a tank truck into customer vehicles or other tanks at a customer's site, that ensures the accurate delivery of products in accordance with the instructions on a series of delivery lists. The method of delivery includes the use of a probe having digital memory and capable of comparing input signals from passive electronic tags with stored data and the use of a truck on-board computer able to read the truck's accumulating gallonage meters, and able to set relay contacts to directly control the refueling of vehicles identified as critical vehicles. Each use of the probe in reading a tag is recorded in the probe stored in its memory, and later downloaded into the on-board computer used to calculate the gallons and identify the product delivered into each customer tank. At the end of the day, the on-board computer is downloaded into an office computer to complete customer billing records, evaluate driver compliance with the delivery process, and post inventory, sales, and financial records.

Each use of the probe is recorded, stored in memory, and later downloaded to a computer system to verify the drivers' compliance with the instructions of the series of load tickets.
