In an apparatus at a spinning preparation machine, especially a carding machine, opener, cleaner or the like, a guide element, guide vane or the like having a curved end region is movably mounted in a recess in a stationary mounting. In order to allow simple production, assembly and handling, the recess has, at least in part, straight inner wall surfaces, and the guide element is fixed by means of a clamping force relative to the mounting and, without the clamping force, can be moved.

In an apparatus at a spinning preparation machine, especially a carding machine, opener, cleaner or the like, an axle, a bearing or the like is fixed in a stationary mounting element by a fastening element. In order to allow, in simple manner, precise adjustment of the axle, the bearing or the like in an axial direction and especially to allow displacement by a small amount, the fastening element is arranged between the curved surface of a body, for example, an axle, bearing or the like, and an internal surface of the mounting element, and is capable of fixing the body by a clamping force and, without the clamping force, is capable of allowing the axle, the bearing or the like to move.

A device is provided for separating out foreign particles and/or neps in a pre-carding zone and/or a post-carding zone of a carding machine having a carding cylinder. The device has at least two modules arranged opposite the carding cylinder in the pre-carding zone and/or the post-carding zone. Each module has a plurality of operating elements, the elements being arranged beside one another as seen in a circumferential direction of the cylinder. The operating elements are fixed carding elements, suctioning devices, and/or separating knives.

A cylinder is provided for a spinning preparation machine. The cylinder has an outer shell having a hub at each end of the outer shell. A separate shaft journal is connected to each hub and the shaft journals are glued to the hubs.

Cylinder for spinning preparation machine

A device is provided for a spinning preparation machine for removing foreign particles, the machine having a rotating cylinder with ends. The device has a knife blade having a separation edge, the knife blade being arranged at an adjustable distance to and angled counter to a rotational direction of the cylinder; a suctioning chamber associated with the knife blade; a holding element to which the knife blade and the suctioning chamber are attached; and at least one adjusting element. The holding element, the knife blade and the suctioning chamber form a single adjustable unit. A position of the single adjustable unit relative to the cylinder is adjustable by adjusting the at least one adjusting element. The at least one adjusting element is located outside one of the ends of the cylinder in a longitudinal direction of the cylinder and in a region of the separation edge on the knife blade.

A carding machine includes a main carding cylinder having a cylindrical surface carrying a cylinder clothing; a cover arrangement extending along a part of the cylindrical surface at a clearance therefrom to define a space between the cylinder clothing and the cover arrangement; a first opening provided in the cover arrangement and communicating with the space between the cylinder clothing and the cover arrangement; and a device for generating a pressurized air stream. The device communicates with the first opening for introducing the pressurized air stream through the first opening into the space between the cylinder clothing and the cover arrangement to impinge upon the cylinder clothing carrying fiber material thereon. A second opening which is provided in the cover arrangement communicates with the space between the cylinder clothing and the cover arrangement for removing the pressurized air stream, laden with waste material separated from the fiber material.

A carding machine includes a main carding cylinder having a cylinder axis and carrying a cylinder clothing on a circumferential surface thereof and a traveling flats assembly cooperating with the main carding cylinder along a circumferential length portion thereof. The traveling flats assembly includes a plurality of flat bars each having a flat bar clothing cooperating with the cylinder clothing; and a drive member for moving the flat bars in unison in an endless path; a rigid support member fixedly held on a machine frame laterally of the main carding cylinder and having a convex supporting surface; and a slide guide at least indirectly held on the supporting surface of the support member. The slide guide has a convex upper surface supporting the flat bars for sliding motion thereon and an opposite, lower surface. The radial distance between clothing points of the flat bar clothings and the carding cylinder clothing are determined and are changeable by the shape and/or the position of the slide guide.
