Computer-assisted surgical systems and methods provide intraoperative playback of and interaction with recorded video images and/or a 3D model while displaying current video images. The methods and related surgical systems involve capturing, by a two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) video camera, current video images and recording the captured video images. A user interface displays the current video images and the recorded video images and/or the 3D model and enables a user to interact with either or both of them.

A control arm assembly for controlling a robot system includes a gimbal that is moveable and rotatable about three axes, and a handle assembly coupled to the gimbal. The handle assembly includes a body portion having a controller disposed therein and a first actuator disposed thereon. The mobile cart includes a robotic arm and a transmitter in operable communication with the receiver. The memory has instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause the system to receive, from the transmitter, a signal including a position of the mobile carts in a 3D space based on the signal communicated by the transmitter and determine a spatial pose of the mobile carts based on the received signal.

System and method for radio based location of modular arm carts in a surgical robotic system

A foot pedal for a user interface of a robotic surgical system includes a frame, a lever, and a sensor system. The lever is coupled to the frame and is pivotable relative to the frame between an initial position and a fully actuated position. The sensor system has a first element associated with the frame and a second element that is associated with the lever. The sensor system is configured to determine the position of the lever relative to the frame.
