A dynamic configuration system runs on the multiple processors and includes a device manager, configuration manager, and data manager. The device manager automatically detects and adds new devices to the multiprocessor system, and the configuration manager automatically reconfigures which processors run the real-time applications. The data manager identifies the type of data generated by the new devices and identifies which devices in the multiprocessor system are able to process the data. A communication system for a mobile vehicle, home, or office environment includes multiple processors. The multiple processors each run an Open Communication system that controls how data is transferred between processors based on data content as opposed to the links that connect the processors together. The open communication system enables data or messages to be effectively transferred and processed for real-time applications or other server based applications that may be running on the multiple processors in a secure environment regardless of processors, locations, or data links.

Method and system for dynamic configuration of multiprocessor system

A multiprocessor system includes multiple processors configured to run applications, and a dynamic configuration system operating independently on one or more of the multiple processors. The dynamic configuration system is configured to automatically incorporate new processors into the multiprocessor system for communication with one or more of the multiple processors. The dynamic configuration system automatically reconfigures the multiprocessor system in real-time to run at least one application normally run on one or more of the multiple processor to run on one or more of the automatically incorporated new processors.

A system and methods for autonomously tracking and simultaneously providing surveillance of a target from air vehicles. In one embodiment the system receives inputs from outside sources, creates tracks, identifies the targets and generates flight plans for unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) and camera controls for surveillance of the targets. The system uses predictive algorithms and aircraft control laws. The system comprises a plurality of modules configured to accomplish these tasks. One embodiment comprises an automatic target recognition (ATR) module configured to receive video information, process the video information, and produce ATR information including target information. The embodiment further comprises a multisensor integrator (MSI) module configured to receive the ATR information, an air vehicle state input and a target state input, process the inputs and produce track information for the target. The embodiment further comprises a target module configured to receive the track information, process the track information, and produce predicted future state target information. The embodiment further comprises an ownship module configured to receive the track information, process the track information, and produce predicted future state air vehicle information. The embodiment further comprises a planner module configured to receive the predicted future state target information and the predicted future state air vehicle information and generate travel path information including flight and camera steering commands for the air vehicle.

Methods for autonomous tracking and surveillance

A vehicle audio system senses the availability of a wireless audio device in or near a vehicle, and uses logic circuitry to identify a device-specific record from among many records available in a memory. The identified record contains data codes from the available wireless audio device and from a software application running on the device. Upon identifying the data code record, the system downloads a copy of an alternate software application selected from the memory and configures the alternate software application to process data from the wireless audio device. The system provides a user the option to play sound from the vehicle speakers or play sound from the wireless audio device.

A distributed processing system in a vehicle includes many processors communicating through a network. One of the processors controls the image content of a display mounted in view of a vehicle occupant; a second processor is in a portable device connected to the packet networks. An application residing in a memory device connected to the vehicle network is launched from that memory when the portable device is brought into the vehicle. The combination of the display, the image content processor, the application and the portable device allow a user to access the internet and conduct transactions for goods and services.
