A system includes a plurality of sensors configured to detect an electrical voltage and an electrical leakage current associated with an operation of an industrial machine, and a controller including a processor and a selection device. The selection device is configured to receive from the plurality of sensors a first input corresponding to the electrical voltage, and a second input corresponding to the electrical leakage current. The first input is paired with the second input to generate a paired input. The selection device is configured to transmit an output to the processor based at least in part on the paired input. The output includes an indication of the electrical leakage current or a dissipation factor associated with the industrial machine.

Systems and methods for monitoring leakage current of an industrial machine

A circuit for calibrating a current transducer may include a first resistor and a second resistor, such that the first resistor and the second resistor may adjust a measurement output by a current sensor. The first resistor and the second resistor may adjust the measurement output by adjusting a phase of the measurement output and/or adjusting a sensitivity of the measurement output. The circuit may also include a first terminal and a second terminal, such that the first terminal may be electrically coupled to the first resistor and the second resistor. Here, the first terminal may receive the measurement output by the current sensor, and the second terminal may output the adjusted measurement output.

An energy harvesting survey apparatus includes a main body having a first end positioned proximate to a machine configured to produce thermal energy and a second end positioned a predefined distance from the first end. At least one first sensor is coupled to the first end and is configured to detect a temperature of a surface of the machine. At least one second sensor is coupled to the second end and is configured to detect a temperature of ambient air substantially surrounding the machine. A circuit is coupled to the first and second sensors, and is configured to generate at least one output representative of an expected power output of a thermoelectric generator coupled to the machine based at least in part on the detected machine surface temperature and the detected ambient air temperature. A display device is coupled to the circuit and is configured to display the output.

A method of assembling a circuit board assembly is provided. The circuit board assembly includes a circuit board assembly fixture and a plurality of fixed circuits. The method includes coupling the plurality of fixed circuits to the circuit board assembly fixture. The plurality of fixed circuits includes at least one of a fully flexible circuit, a flexible circuit having stiffeners, and a rigid circuit. The fixture includes a plurality of supporting surfaces each including a first side, configured to receive at least one of the fixed circuits, and an opposite second side. The fixture includes at least one hinge, at least one fastening mechanism extending from the first side, and at least one retainer coupled to at least one of the plurality of supporting surfaces. The method includes folding the circuit board assembly fixture into a desired alignment.

Method of assembling a circuit board assembly

This disclosure describes examples of condition monitoring systems with node devices that can adjust the power level of a radio. Embodiments of the node device can dynamically vary the power level for the radio in response to communication with other node devices. In one example, the node devices measure the strength of a signal received from the other node devices. The node devices can, in response to this value, vary the power level of the radio to optimize power consumption and extend the battery life for the node device.

Method for reducing power consumption in node devices of a condition monitoring system

A method for calibrating a multiple-triad triaxial accelerometer is provided. The method may include receiving accelerometer measured output from a first measurement triad and at least one additional measurement triad of the accelerometer. The method may further include aligning the output of a x, y, and z components of the first measurement triad to be substantially orthogonal with respect to each other, aligning the output of x, y, and z components of at least one additional measurement triad to be substantially orthogonal with respect to each other, and rotating the output of at least one measurement triad so the outputs of all measurement triads substantially align with each other. The method may further include storing the result of the alignment and rotation associated with at least one calibration function associated with the multiple-triad triaxial accelerometer. The alignment and rotation may be performed substantially simultaneously.

Systems and methods for calibrating triaxial accelerometers

A circuit board assembly fixture is used in assembling a circuit board assembly. The fixture includes supporting surfaces each including a first side and an opposite second side, wherein each first side receives at least one of the fixed circuits to be coupled together using at least one flexible circuit. The fixture also includes at least one hinge to couple the supporting surfaces together, wherein the hinge enables the supporting surfaces to be folded into a desired alignment relative to each other and provides structural support for the assembly. Moreover, the fixture includes at least one fastening mechanism extending from the surface first side to retain the fixed circuits in position relative to the supporting surfaces. Further, the fixture includes at least one retainer coupled to at least one of the supporting surfaces to retain an alignment of each of the supporting surfaces relative to each other.

Apparatus for assembly of circuit boards

A method for calibrating a sensor includes providing a fixture that defines a first coordinate system, providing a chassis, and orienting a plurality of sensor elements to form a misaligned coordinate system, wherein the misaligned coordinate system axes are oriented at other than right angles with respect to each other. The method also includes coupling the sensor to be calibrated to the fixture and mathematically compensating the misaligned coordinate system to correspond with the first coordinate system.
