A wellhead adapter assembly is disclosed. A wellbore adapter is designed for connection to a drillstring, with a riser fluidly connected to the wellbore adapter. At least one tubular arm section is rotatably and fluidly connected to the riser. A positioning system is attached to the at least one tubular arm. The positioning system is adapted to maintain the at least one tubular arm in a desired position relative to the riser, despite relative movement between the drillstring and a floating structure such as a drilling rig.

A safety wrench for coupling and uncoupling hammer union type connections employs a spring biased retractable bolt to apply a blow to the union lug. In use the bolt is retracted rearward to compress compression springs positioned within an internal spring bore in the bolt to a position away from the lug of the union to be rotated. When the bolt is disengaged from the ratchet mechanism, the compression springs rapidly extend to rapidly move the bolt forward to impact the union lug and rotate the union. The bolt may be retracted by a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, a hand lever, or a rack and pinion mechanism. Reversing the position of the safety wrench on the union lug will allow the union to be rotated in the opposite direction.

A tubular extraction system for use in a plug and abandonment process and may include a structural mounting for adaptation to a well head, various mountings may be used to provide a structure for attaching actuators for griping the tubular string, indenting or crimping the tubular and shearing the tubular string. The system further use a fork supported on a lifting apparatus such as a top drive unit, draw works or portable crane, the fork is inserted within the mounting structure of the system to engage the crimped or indented portion of the tubular section being extracted and thus allow removal of sequentially sheared sections of the tubular string.

Apparatus and method for extracting a tubular string from a bore hole

A containment apparatus for collecting liquids including oil and water emitted from a gas buster exhaust stack. The containment includes baffling and a liquid float and discharge line for returning the liquids to a reservoir. Multiple containments may be connected to contain potentially greater discharges.

A relatively compact portable tong assembly utilizing adaptable jaws for gripping the threaded box and pin ends of adjacent pipe joints without the use of an external support and thus applying final make-up torque or applying initial breakout torque to threaded pipe joints using only a spanner, socket and ratchet or other such hand tools for quickly applying torque to at least one of the tong jaws. An integral means is also provided for accurately measuring the amount of torque being applied to the joints.

Portable pipe tong and method of use

A screen table and tong assembly whereby a sand screen table structure adaptable to a rotary table is used to capture and suspend sand screen subsections within the well bore is further adapted to include a pair of articulated opposing manual tong assemblies. The tong assemblies are pivotal and transversely positionable relative to the screen table. Provisions are made for adapting a slip set in cooperation with said screen table and tong assembly for capturing and supporting wash pipe within the sand screen subsections. Additional adaptations include a custom spinner tong assembly for rotating the sand screen tubular subsections and wash pipe sections.

Screen table tong assembly and method

A portable work platform or basket adaptable to wellhead valve flanges at a point above the blowout preventors thereby providing 360-degree personnel access to the wellhead during work-over and snubbing operations. The platform includes handrails, kick plates and an assortment of pipe flange adaptors for coupling to a variety of wellhead configurations. The platform further includes a pivotal arm for attaching a retractable personnel tether reel or a pulley block for a wench cable.

A tactile torque wrench adapted for use with manual pipe tongs for gripping tubular members and the like, the torque handle adapted thereto for applying an actuating force in a manner so as to effect pivotal movement of the handle and create a tactile and audible indication to an operator when a predetermined but selectively variable torque is applied to the handle to generate the actuating force on a pipe tong and the like.
