A three-dimensional print head apparatus comprising a hopper, a nozzle, a barrel, a heating system, a fume extraction system, a dry air purge system, and an agitator. The hopper may having a cavity and may have a lower aperture. The nozzle may have an upper aperture and may have a lower aperture. The heating system may be positioned along at least a portion of the barrel, which may defined a heated zone of the barrel. The dry air purge system may be in fluid communication with the hopper. The agitator may have at least one paddle.

Three dimensional print head apparatus

A three-dimensional print head apparatus including a hopper, a nozzle, a barrel, and a heating system. The apparatus may further include a fume extraction system and a dry air purge system. The hopper may have a cavity and a lower aperture. The nozzle may have an upper aperture and a lower aperture. The heating system may be positioned along the barrel, and the dry air purge system may be in fluid communication with the hopper.

A composite material may be prepared from a solid polymeric binder and a solid filler by feeding into an extruder the solid polymeric binder at a first feed rate and the solid filler at a second feed rate. The extruder extrudes an extrudate of the solid polymeric binder and solid filler to form the composite material. The composite material has a binder to filler ratio determined by the first feed rate and second feed rate. The solid polymeric binder and solid filler have different densities. Feeding the solid polymeric binder at the first feed rate and the solid filler at the second feed rate distributes the solid filler substantially homogeneously throughout the composite material.

A three-dimensional print head apparatus may include a securing mechanism, a hopper, a nozzle, a heating system, and a fume extraction system. The securing mechanism may be adapted to secure to a wrist joint of a robotic arm. The hopper may have a cavity and a lower aperture and may be secured to the securing mechanism. The nozzle may have an upper aperture and a lower aperture. The heating system may be positioned along the barrel.

An interlocking paver system including a polygon paver and a spacer paver is provided. The polygon paver may have a top level having a top level polygon paver perimeter and a bottom level secured to and protruding from the top level and having a bottom level polygon paver perimeter contained within the top level polygon paver perimeter. The spacer paver may have a top level having a top level spacer paver perimeter and a bottom level secured to and protruding from the top level and having a bottom level spacer paver perimeter extending beyond an entirety of the top level spacer paver perimeter. A composite cementitious feedstock comprises discrete elements. Each discrete element includes mineral rock agglutinates having irregular surface regions and cavities. Super absorbent polymer (SAP) particles and cement particles are disposed on the irregular surface regions and in the cavities. A binder coheres the agglutinates, SAP particles, and cement particles.

Composite cementitious discrete-element feedstock

A composite cementitious feedstock includes mineral rock agglutinates, super absorbent polymer (SAP) particles, cement particles, and a binder. Each of the agglutinates has irregular surface regions and cavities originating at the irregular surface regions. At least a portion of the SAP particles and cement particles are disposed on the irregular surface regions and in the cavities. The binder coheres the agglutinates, SAP particles, and cement particles.

Composite cementitious discrete-element feedstock and improved construction method using same

A three-dimensional print head apparatus including a securing mechanism, a hopper, a nozzle, a barrel, and a heating system. The nozzle has an upper aperture and a lower aperture. The barrel has an elongate, hollow member with a first end secured to the lower aperture of the hopper and a second end secured to the upper aperture of the nozzle. The heating system is positioned along the barrel.

Print head for regolith-polymer mixture and associated feedstock

An interlocking paver system including polygon and spacer pavers. The polygon paver has a longitudinal axis extending from a first to a second side and a transverse axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis and extending from a third to a fourth side. The spacer paver has a longitudinal axis extending from a first to a second side and a transverse axis orthogonal to the longitudinal axis and extending from a third to a fourth side. Both the polygon and spacer pavers are symmetrical about the longitudinal and transverse axes. The spacer paver is configured to selectively interlock with the polygon paver with either of the third or fourth side of the polygon paver adjacent either of the first or second side of the spacer paver and either of the first or second side of the polygon paver adjacent either of the third or fourth side of the spacer paver.

A system for heat transfer including a compressor, a regolith inlet, a first storage hopper, and a load. The compressor is in fluid communication with a closed loop system. The regolith inlet is in fluid communication with the closed loop system. The first storage hopper is adapted to carry an amount of regolith and is in fluid communication with the regolith inlet. The load is in fluid communication with the closed loop system between a compressor inlet a compressor outlet.

Heat transfer system

A stereoscopic light recycling device is provided. A beam splitter is constructed of substantially orthogonally polarizing material on which divergent image light is received and is positioned at an angle to a source of the divergent image light. A phase shifting optic includes a reflective surface coated by a phase shifting film and is positioned at an angle non-perpendicular to at least a portion of the image light from the beam splitter. The angle of the phase shifting optic is dependent on the angle of the beam splitter.

Stereoscopic light recycling device and method for construction

A method for constructing a stereoscopic light recycling device is provided. At least one support member is affixed to a beam splitter positioned at an angle and constructed of orthogonally polarizing material on which image light is received. A phase shifting optic having a reflective surface coated by a phase shifting film is positioned at an angle non-perpendicular to at least a portion of the image light from the beam splitter. The phase shifting optic includes one of a uniform and non-uniform surface.

The angle of the beam splitter is dependent on the angle of the phase shifting optic.

Stereoscopic light recycling device and method of construction thereof

A technique for reducing altitude error involves determining a corrected altitude for an aircraft using forecast atmospheric pressure data available, for example, from a weather forecasting service. The forecast atmospheric pressure data includes, for a number of points in time and for a number of geographic locations, a set of pressure levels and corresponding altitude values. Altitude correction data is periodically calculated from the forecast atmospheric pressure data for each of a number of geographic grid points. Upon receiving aircraft position information and an aircraft altitude measurement for an aircraft, one or more of the geographic grid points corresponding to the aircraft position are identified, and a corrected altitude of the aircraft is determined based on the altitude correction data of the one or more geographic grid points.

Reduction of altitude error using forecasted atmospheric pressure data

A method for constructing a stereoscopic device is provided. A chassis with front and back openings and that forms a housing framing the front and back openings is constructed. A beam splitter constructed of substantially orthogonally polarizing material faces the back opening and is captively held to the chassis. A single phase shifting optic having a reflective surface coated by a phase shifting film on which the divergent image light is received is placed at an angle non-perpendicular to the divergent image light, such that the phase shifting optic is facing toward the front opening and is substantially parallel to the polarizing material of the beam splitter. The beam splitter and phase shifting optic are in optical alignment with each other within the chassis. A modulator sized to cover at least a portion of the front opening is positioned in front of the front opening.
