A method for detecting a double-parked vehicle includes identifying a parking region in video data received from an image capture device monitoring the parking region. The method includes defining an enforcement region at least partially surrounding the parking region. The method includes detecting a stationary vehicle in the enforcement region. The method includes determining the occurrence of an event relative to the stationary vehicle. In response to the determined occurrence of the event, the method includes classifying the stationary vehicle as being one of double parked and not double parked.

Video-based system for automated detection of double parking violations

The disclosure provides methods and systems to perform data backups of protected data. According to an embodiment, a nominal backup schedule is received, and a time differential between the nominal backup schedule and a current time metric is determined. If the time differential is greater than a threshold, the backup schedule is modified so that times indicated in the modified backup schedule are at a higher frequency than a frequency of the indicated times of the nominal backup schedule. In another embodiment, if a reliability metric is greater than a corresponding threshold, the backup schedule is modified so that times indicated in the modified backup schedule are at a higher frequency than a frequency of the indicated times of the nominal backup schedule.

The Source Volume Backup with Predictive and Lookahead Optimizations Apparatuses, Methods and Systems ('SVBAF') transforms backup request inputs via SVBAF components into backup response outputs. A set of blocks to be copied from a source volume to a target volume is designated based on predictive optimization settings and copied based on lookahead optimization settings while an operating system is configured to write to the source volume. Blocks of the source volume that were written to by the operating system are identified. A determination is made whether to enter a CoW mode. If the CoW mode should not be entered, the designated set of blocks is changed to include at least one of the identified blocks and a pass is repeated. Otherwise, the operating system is instructed to enter the CoW mode and bring the target volume into a state consistent with a state of the source volume.

When monitoring a workspace to determine whether scheduled tasks or chores are completed according to a predetermined schedule, a video monitoring system monitors a region of interest (ROI) to identify employee-generated signals representing completion of a scheduled task. An employee makes a mark or gesture in the ROI monitored by the video monitoring system and the system analyzes pixels in each captured frame of the ROI to identify an employee signal, map the signal to a corresponding scheduled task, update the task as having been completed upon receipt of the employee signal, and alert a manager of the facility as to whether the task has been completed or not.

The image capture device acquires video of a current parking area. A computer processor in communication with the image capture device is configured to receive the video data and define a region of interest in the video data. An embodiment includes acquiring images of a retail establishment, said images including at least a portion of a customer queue region, determining a queue configuration within the images, analyzing the images to detect entry of a customer into the customer queue, tracking a customer detected in the customer queue as the customer progresses within the queue, analyzing the images to detect if the customer leaves the customer queue, and generating a drive-off notification if a customer leaves the queue.

System and method for video-based detection of drive-offs and walk-offs in vehicular and pedestrian queues

Disclosed is a method and system for generating redacted video of a scene captured using a video camera and augmenting a manual review process of the redacted video of the scene. According to an exemplary embodiment, a video of the scene is redacted via probability-based analysis to detect and obscure privacy sensitive objects included in the captured video. A manual review process of the generated redacted video is augmented to use the object detection probability to enhance the reviewing video frame rate to expedite the manual review process.

The method includes determining an external cue in the video stream. The method includes associating a frame capturing the external cue as a first frame in a key frame sequence. The method includes determining an action being performed by the associated human performer in the key frame sequence. In response to determining the action in the key frame sequence matching an expected action in the target activity, the method includes verifying the action as being performed in the monitored activity. In response to not determining the action in the key frame sequence, the method includes generating an alert indicating an error in the monitored activity.

A method for enforcing traffic signal compliance includes acquiring a series of temporal related image frames including a target area. Each image frame includes pixel data representative of the target area. The method includes generating one or more motion vectors between two or more of the image frames. The motion vectors are the type produced by compressing the pixel data associated with the two or more image frames. The method includes associating a cluster of motion vectors with a vehicle. The method further includes tracking a position of the vehicle across the two or more image frames. Using the tracking results, the method includes determining whether the vehicle stops in the target area. For the vehicle being determined as not stopping, the method includes signaling an occurrence of noncompliance.
