Aspects described herein relate to executing a compiled user defined function (UDF) in an interpreted database query engine. A database query that invokes a UDF defined in an interpreted programming language can be received, and a shared library produced by compiling the UDF can be loaded during database runtime. The UDF can be executed via the shared library during the invocation of the database query, or another database query, in the interpreted database query engine.

System and method for executing compiled user defined functions in vectorized databases

Backups and restore operations of database are customized by performing partial backups and restores. The database maintains information describing database objects that are backed up by subsequent backup operations. The data set that is backed up by backup operations can be modified by executing alter backup commands. An alter backup command identifies one or more database objects and specifies whether the database object should be excluded or included from backup operations. The alter backup command can specify database objects that do not exist in the database. These objects are included or excluded in accordance with the alter backup command whenever they are created in the database. The alter backup command can associate a criteria with a database object in order for the database object to be included or excluded in accordance with the alter backup command.

Customizing backup and restore of databases

A logical backup of a database is performed that allows physical properties of the database to be preserved upon restore. The physical properties of the database include properties related to storage of the data on the hard disk. Preserving the physical properties of a database allows performance debugging of the source database by performing performance tests on the target database rather than a production system. Incremental backup of metadata of a database is performed to minimize execution of statements that provide the final configuration of the database. Incremental backup is performed by restoring a database using a full backup and applying incremental backups to reach a particular state. The user can inspect the restored database after applying each incremental backup to determine whether the database has reached a desired state.

An ozone device for deodorizing dresses within a closet, includes an ozone generator. The ozone generator includes a casing formed with first and second ventilation vents, an ozone producing element installed within the casing for generating ozone in order to deodorizing dresses within the closet, a circulating fan installed within the casing for circulating ozone generated by the ozone producing element, and a hanging unit projecting outward from the casing and adapted to be hung onto a suspension member. The closet is sleeved over and cooperates with the casing to define a sealed chamber so that dresses can be kept therein.

A method and apparatus for enabling software to be executed in any of a plurality of render modes are provided. A set of hypermedia pages and associated executable components maintained in a server system collectively form logic definition of a software application. The server maintains a number of render modules, each corresponding to a different one of multiple render modes. Each of the render modes is for use with the same logic definition of the software application. In the server system, one of the render modes is selected based on, and in response to, a signal from a remote client system representing a user-initiated request to execute the software application. The signal represents a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that includes a render parameter specifying a render mode. The server uses the logic definition of the software application and an appropriate one of the render modules to provide information to the client system, to enable the client system to present the software application to the user in the selected render mode.
