An incrementally adjustable wiring tray assembly, including a channel section having a predetermined length for approximating a required length of a wiring tray run, the channel section including an inwardly-formed flange having first spaced-apart connection means positioned thereon. A connecting section is provided for fitting in a telescoping relation with the channel section. The connecting section includes an inwardly-formed flange having second spaced-apart connectors positioned thereon adapted for mating cooperation with the first connectors for securing the channel section and the connecting section together at a length where the collective length of the channel section and a non-telescoped portion of the connecting section define the required length of the wiring tray run.

A cable raceway outlet mountable to a cable raceway having a side wall terminating in a top edge. The raceway outlet comprises a transition assembly for being mounted over the top of the top edge of the raceway for supporting a cable passing between the raceway and a point outside the raceway, and a protective transition assembly cover for being positioned onto the transition assembly for enclosing the cable passing between the raceway and a point outside the raceway. A raceway cover is carried by the transition assembly cover for covering a top opening of the raceway defined by the side wall and a second, laterally spaced-apart side wall.

A cable retainer assembly is adapted for segregating, bundling, and routing fiber optic cable inside a cable management cabinet. The retainer assembly includes a mounting track for being located inside the cabinet, and having first and second opposing end edges, and first and second opposing side edges. An arcuate retainer clip is carried on the mounting track between its opposing end edges and side edges. The retainer clip defines a bend-radius control surface adapted for controlling the degree of bend experienced by fiber optic cable held by the retainer clip. The retainer clip has a base, and at least one outwardly-extending cable retainer arm formed with the base. The cable retainer arm is spaced-apart from the bend-radius control surface to retain a bundled plurality of fiber optic cable inside the cabinet.

A cable connector plate interconnects ends of fiber optic cable. The connector plate includes a base having opposing front and back sides. At least three adapters are carried by the base and have respective axially-aligned end portions extending outwardly from each of the front and back sides of the base. The adapters receive and interconnect ends of fiber optic cable in optical alignment. The adapters are disposed at respective distinct angles relative to a notional plane facing either of the front and back sides of the base.

A fiber optic cable management system includes a cabinet defined by cabinet walls and having an interior mounting surface for carrying cable management components adapted for managing fiber optic cable within the cabinet. The mounting surface is spaced-apart from and cooperates with an adjacent one of the cabinet walls to define a door-receiving compartment inside the cabinet between the mounting surface and the adjacent wall. A cable access door is pivotably attached to the cabinet, and is adapted for pivoting movement between a closed position and an open position, and for sliding movement from the open position to a hidden position inside the cabinet and within the door-receiving compartment. Attachment rails are provided for pivotably attaching the access door to the cabinet, and for permitting sliding movement of the access door from the open position to the hidden position.

An adjustable raceway channel connector is adapted for interconnecting first and second cable raceway channels arranged end to end in a cable raceway system. Each of the raceway channels has a connecting end and an opposing end. The channel connector includes a bottom wall and opposing side walls. The bottom and side walls of the connector are formed to overlap respective connecting ends of the raceway channels. A longitudinally extending connector slot is formed in at least one of the side walls of the connector, and is adapted for being aligned with a channel hole formed in at least one of the raceway channels. The aligned connector slot and channel hole are adapted for receiving a fastener to join the connector and raceway channel together. The connector slot allows telescoping axial movement of the connector relative to the joined raceway channel to adjustably bridge the space between the connecting end of the first raceway channel and the connecting end of the second raceway channel.

A means and method for routing and managing buffered tube type fiber optical cable, particularly outside plant cable to an optical fiber cabinet or similar structure. The disclosure describes novel clamping elements engaging the outside plant cable which serve to separate the contained optical fibers for guidance in individual paths to a point of connection, and provide a mounting point at the clamping elements prior to separation. The clamping elements are transparent, enabling inspection and identification of individual fiber circuits.

Means for routing buffer tube type fiber optical cable

An improved means and method for routing and managing ribbon type fiber optic cables used in the telecommunications industry. The means includes a split housing defining an entry channel formed by a shank adapted to be clamped beneath an outer sheath enclosing a plurality of ribbon cables whereby an included plurality of such ribbon cables enter the hollow shank and are conducted to a recess from which they are individually introduced into one of a plurality of parallel planar channels from which they are guided to separate locations for separation of the individual fibers comprising the ribbon cables to be further separated and terminated at final locations. The housings may be manufactured in a variety of sizes depending upon the number of ribbon cables to be routed, and may be used singly, or in serially associated fashion.
