A pre-hung door and door frame in combination with nesting door posts. Preferably, the door posts have a central channel extending into contact with a door jamb soffit and one of the door jamb stops. The header includes a header tab extending from a nailing flange into a area defined by the door jamb rabbet, face and back bends to provide a more rigid connection between the header and the door jamb. The header also includes a pair of door jamb tabs integral with the header for securing the header relative to the door jambs.

Door frame for metal buildings

A knockdown unit comprising a framework for holding one or more panels and one or more doors, having two outside vertical jambs; at least one vertical mullion; at least one horizontal frame member; at least one sill frame member; the vertical jambs, the at least one vertical mullion, the at least one sill frame member and the at least one horizontal frame member being connectable at a job site to form the knockdown unit, an upper end of each vertical jamb being connected to the at least one horizontal frame member, a lower end of one vertical jamb being connected to a sill frame member, a lower end of the at least one vertical mullion being connected to at least one sill frame member, an upper end of the at least one vertical mullion being connected to the at least one horizontal frame member.

Wall construction

A door frame fixturing and bracing apparatus for fixturing and bracing a metallic door frame having two opposed jambs and a connecting header above a floor and typically between masonry walls. The apparatus includes a single fixturing frame having an upper member, a lower member, and at least one brace member disposed between a pair of opposed side members, the members being connected together to form an integral rectangular fixturing frame generally conforming to at least a width wise extending interior portion of the metallic door frame between its jambs. Legs are pivotally connected to the side members for swinging movement which is lateral to the plane of the door frame. A fastening means for temporarily securing the fixturing frame to the door frame includes a screw means for engaging apertures in the door jambs. An open ended clamp pivotably mounted to each of the side members provides a means for adjusting a length of each of the legs between the side members and the floor to locate the legs at a required inclination with respect to the floor. A flat support base is pivotably attached to a bottom end of each of the legs.

Door frame installing fixture

A metal frame anchor, such as one used for securing a metal door or window frame to an adjacent wall structure, having a generally rectangular base, two prongs bent upward and then over the base in opposite directions to form clips which open in opposite directions, and the base having at least one set of angularly cut opposite corners. The slidably insertable metal frame anchor is typically disposed in a metal frame element such that the anchor's base is positioned on inside surfaces of the backbends with the two prongs bent upward and then over the base in opposite directions to form clips which open in the opposite directions and which are positioned on outside surfaces of the backbends to which the anchor is clipped.

Anchor for metal door frame

A metallic frame and, more particularly, a stainless steel door frame has a bent sheet metal frame element encompassing an inner space and the element has backbends which extend perpendicularly inward from the back ends of faces of the element. At least one slidably insertable sleeve is disposed inside the element and has flanges which are spot welded to the back ends. The sleeves serve as carriers for various door hardware such as hinge reinforcement and strike plates, clips having bendable tabs, and anchors.

Pre-finished metal door frame

A metallic frame and the assembly from which it is constructed has a header and a jamb and a means to attach them together at a corner of the metal frame. The header and the jamb each have a soffit disposed inwardly from a rabbet and a stop extending substantially perpendicular to and between the rabbet and the soffit. One of either the header or jamb has terminal ends of a first soffit, a first stop, and a first rabbet that generally lie in the same plane with a first corner edge. A rail slot extends through a width of the corresponding first stop and thicknesses of the first soffit and the first rabbet. The other of the header and a jambs has track formed along a second rabbet between a terminal end of a second rabbet and a terminal end of a second stop and second soffit which are cut back and spaced a distance from the terminal end of the second rabbet such that the track and the rail slot are slidingly engageable.

Metal frame assembly

A panel light assembly used in panels. The panel light assembly has a retainer clip for a mounting glazing between two opposing frames that are mounted in apertures in the skins of the panel located on either side of the core of the panel. The retaining clip, preferably made of a springy material, includes longitudinally extending legs depending from opposite longitudinal sides of the clip and which are operable to slide over and securingly engage the panel skins. Oppositely spaced and oppositely directed trim retainer prongs project up from said clip body and generally towards a longitudinal center-line of said clip body for engaging the frames and securing the glazing between the frames in the panels light apertures. The present invention provides at least two skin spacer tabs depending from the clip wherein each of the skin spacer tabs is spaced sufficiently apart from legs so as to be able to receive the skins therebetween. The prongs may be bent up projections cut out from said clip body and may further include a trim release means attached to the projections that are tabs further cut out from the clip. The preferred embodiment of the present invention provides skin apertures with embossed edges indented towards the core along the periphery of each of the apertures wherein the embossed edges are essentially parallel to the surface of the skins. The frames are mounted in the apertures within the embossments such that said frames are flush with the outer surfaces of the skins.

Door window glass and frame assembly

The invention relates to hinge preparation assembly for mounting in each of the hinge mortises formed in the hinge edge of a steel door. The hinge preparation assembly includes a hinge reinforcement member having a plurality of spaced apart openings including threaded openings for mounting a leaf of a standard weight hinge set thereto. A hinge conversion member is removably mounted to the hinge reinforcement member so that upon its removal, the hinge preparation assembly is converted from a standard weight hinge preparation to a heavy weight hinge preparation, which is capable of mounting a leaf of a heavy weight hinge set thereto without requiring changing the door, modifying the hinge mortises thereof or the hinge preparation assembly.

A weather sealing assembly is arranged and constructed to be insertable into a groove or channel formed in the bottom edge surface of a door and which includes means for adjustably positioning the weather sealing assembly mounted in the door and parallel to a sill or threshold whereby cold air and water is prevented from passing between the threshold and the door bottom.

Weather sealing assembly for doors

A blank filler plate for the lock edge cut-out in a steel door is disclosed. The blank filler plate which does not utilize visible fastening means is removably mounted in the lock edge cut-out. The blank filler plate is provided with zones of weakening for adjusting the size of the blank filler plate after the door hardware has been installed.
