A downhole apparatus for depositing a tool in a side pocket mandrel is described. The apparatus comprises an apparatus body, a tool holder and a displacement mechanism for connecting the tool holder to the apparatus body. The tool holder is movable between a run-in position, in which the tool holder is adjacent the body, to a displaced position, in which the tool holder is spaced away from the body. As a tool is moved between the run-in position and the displaced position, a tool longitudinal axis remains substantially parallel to an apparatus body longitudinal axis.

Downhole apparatus

The invention relates to a downhole device for incorporation into a downhole string and movement in a wellbore. The device comprises a body member, at least one roller arranged on the device to engage the inner surface of the wellbore and means to orient the device in the wellbore. The means to orient the device are provided on the or each roller. Preferably the means to orient the device comprise a projecting portion provided on the or each roller which projects radially outwardly from the body member. The projecting portion can be an eccentrically-shaped portion of the or each roller.

Downhole device

A downhole device, adapted for use in wireline or slickline application, is provided for incorporation into a downhole string and movement in a wellbore. The device comprises means to orient the device in a wellbore, and one or more conveying means arranged to engage the inner surface of the wellbore and reduce the frictional coefficient. It may also incorporate an eccentric weight and/or a vibrator.
