A reinforced longitudinal beam for railway vehicles includes a first partial beam and a second partial beam. The first partial beam is connected to a second assembly of the railway vehicle and the second partial beam is connected to a first assembly of the railway vehicle. Particular surfaces are provided on the first partial beam for forming a welded connection to the second partial beam, and particular surfaces are provided on the second partial beam for forming a welded connection to the first partial beam, wherein one of the partial beams comprises an end facing.

A crash module for a rail vehicle is provided. The crash module includes a crash element, a frontal impact plate and a rear connecting plate, wherein a guide element is provided between the frontal impact plate and the rear connecting plate. The guide element has the form of a plate and is oriented essentially in a longitudinal direction of the rail vehicle.

A rail vehicle with at least two impact-absorbing posts (RS, RS) which are disposed in a front end region (END) and extend vertically to the floor (BOD) of the rail vehicle. A deformable area (KZO) is provided on the front side of the floor (BOD) and each impact-absorbing post (RS, RS) is connected to the roof section (DAB) of the rail vehicle via the upper-end region (OE, OE) thereof, each impact-absorbing post having, in the respective upper-end region thereof, a pre-determined collapsible region (OE, OE) where the buckling (SK, SK) of said post should occur in the event of a collision.
