A pocket hole jig with screw sizing system includes a pocket hole jig with a guide block reciprocally carried by a guide holder. The guide block can be raised or lowered relative the guide holder between a range of distances corresponding and calibrated to a horizontal range defined by a workpiece. A scale on a gauge member carried by the guide block is divided into a plurality of zones. An indicator is carried by the guide holder for indicating one of the plurality of zones by the position of the guide block relative the guide holder. Also provided is a series of different size screws, wherein each different size screw of the series corresponds to one of the plurality of zones.

Screw sizing system for pocket hole jigs

A self-adjusting pocket hole jig includes a base having a clamp end and a toggle end, a guide carried by the base and reciprocally movable between a raised position and a lowered position. A clamp assembly is carried by the base and reciprocally movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. An adjustment mechanism is coupled between the guide and the clamp assembly. The adjustment mechanism is arranged to move the clamp assembly in a forward direction to the engaged position and correspondingly move the guide in a downward direction to the lowered position, and arranged to move the clamp assembly in a rearward direction to the disengaged position and correspondingly move the guide in an upward direction to the raised position.

Self-adjusting pocket hole jig

A pocket hole jig including a base having a clamp end and a toggle end, a guide carried by the base intermediate the clamp end and the toggle end and a clamp assembly carried by the base intermediate the clamp end and the guide, and reciprocally movable between an engaged position when moved toward the guide and a disengaged position when moved away from the guide. The clamp assembly includes a carriage slidably carried by the base, a clamp arm extending above and carried by carriage, a foot coupled to the clamp arm for engaging a workpiece, and a platform extending from the carriage overlying the base for receiving a workpiece and preventing the workpiece from contacting the base.

A self-adjusting bar clamp includes a body defining an elongated channel and an actuating lever pivotally coupled to the body and movable between an open position and a closed position. An elongated bar is carried by the body for reciprocal sliding movement therethrough. A self-adjusting toggle mechanism carried by the body includes a locking element carried by the bar and an element pivotally coupled to the actuating lever. A cam element is pivotally coupled between the element and the locking element. The cam element is movable between a first condition permitting movement and a second condition. A biasing member biases the locking element in a first direction.

Self-adjusting bar clamp

A compound leverage hand tool includes a first section having a first handle end and an opposing first jaw portion with a first jaw end, a second section having a second handle end and a link end, and a second jaw portion having a second jaw end and a lever end, the second jaw portion pivotally coupled to the first jaw portion at a first pivot point intermediate the second jaw end and the lever end. The link end is pivotally coupled to the lever end at a second pivot point, and the link end is pivotally coupled to the first section proximate the first jaw portion at a sliding pivot point intermediate the first pivot point and the second pivot point.

Hand tool with compound leverage mechanism

A cutting tool with double compound leverage includes first and second opposed handle levers having handle ends and pivot ends. One of the handle levers includes a double link with a rearward portion defining the handle end and a forward portion defining the pivot end. First and second opposed blade levers each include a jaw end with a cutting blade and a lever end. The blade levers are each pivotally attached intermediate the jaw end and the lever end at spaced apart pivot points to a transverse coupling element. The pivot ends of the handle levers are pivotally attached to the lever ends of the blade levers. First and second compound linkage pivotally couple the handle levers and the blade levers so as to provide complete opening and closing of the cutting jaws.

Cutting tool with double compound leverage

A self adjusting toggle clamp includes a mounting body, mounting apparatus carried by the mounting body and a clamping link movably attached to the mounting body. An actuating lever having a link element is pivotally coupled to the clamping link and movably coupled to the mounting body by a self adjusting toggle mechanism. The self adjusting toggle mechanism includes a guide carried by the mounting body, a locking element carried by the guide for reciprocal and canting movement, an element pivotally coupled to the link element, and a cam element pivotally coupled to the element and pivotally coupled to the locking element. The cam element is movable between a first condition permitting the locking element to reciprocate along the guide and a second condition bearing against the guide and canting the locking element into frictional engagement with the guide.

Self adjusting toggle clamp

Self adjusting grooved pliers include a first section having a jaw portion and a channel formed therethrough, adjacent the jaw portion and a second section having a jaw portion and a pivot extending therefrom. The pivot is slidably received in the channel to allow wider or narrower association between the jaw portion of the first section and the jaw portion of the second section. The pivot pivotally couples the first section to the second section for movement between an open position and a gripping position. A plurality of grooves is formed in the first section and a tongue extends from the second section. The tongue is received in one of the plurality of grooves, locking the pivot in position within the channel only upon the first section and the second section reaching the gripping position. A biasing assembly acts on the pivot, urging the pivot upward in the channel toward the jaw portion of the first section.

Self adjusting grooved pliers

A pipe wrench is disclosed, the pipe wrench having a uniquely handy control lever and one-way ratchet for very rapid adjustment of wrench position. The wrench also has a pivoting upper jaw that further aids a user in adjusting and tightening the wrench while using only one hand. The wrench may also be used as a hand tool, for instance for clamping an object or workpiece for performing work on the object.

One hand pipe wrench

A self-contained line generating device uses a laser diode and a lens to project a fan-shaped beam of visible light. The lens is useful for receiving light and transmitting light in an asymmetrical planar beam. The light is useful for aligning objects in a vertical or a horizontal line. The generator also includes a substantially flat face and leveling devices for leveling and orienting the generator onto a flat surface. Retractable pins enable a user to easily mount the line generator onto a wall and align objects.

Laser line generating device

A clamp device is disclosed having a first member having a handle portion and a jaw portion. A second member has a handle portion and a jaw portion. The handle portion and jaw portion of the second member define a notch extending from an inner surface of the handle portion of the second member at least partially into the jaw portion of the second member, the second member being formed as a single piece. A pivot is pivotally coupling the first member and the second member intermediate their respective handle portion and jaw portion for opposed pivotal motion. An arcuate clamp bar has a first end coupled to the first member and a second end, an arc of the arcuate clamp bar being concentric with the pivot. A brake lever has an end pivotally coupled to the second member at the notch. The end contacts the jaw portion of the second member. The brake lever has an aperture with the arcuate clamp bar extending therethrough. The brake lever is movable laterally between a frictionally engaged position, frictionally engaging the arcuate clamp bar and a disengaged position.

Clamp device

A protective cover for protecting a read side of an optical disk, including a circumferential frame for receiving and engaging the optical disk and a shield. The frame includes a continuous end wall, an annular base extending radially inwardly from a lower edge of the end wall and a plurality of spaced apart tabs extending radially inwardly from an upper edge of the end wall for engaging an upper surface of an optical disk. The shield is transparent and has an inner edge defining a central opening, an outer edge and a generally planar annular surface extending between the outer edge and the inner edge. The shield is carried by the annular base for receiving and covering the read side of the optical disk.

Protective cover for optically read digital disks

An adjustable pliers wrench including a fixture having a handle and an opposing stationary jaw, a co-acting jaw pivoted to the fixture and a lever pivoted to the co-acting jaw. A guide is attached proximate the handle and a locking element is arranged on the guide for reciprocal and canting movement. At least one attached biasing element urges the locking element toward the stationary jaw. An arm is pivoted to the lever and a cam is pivoted to the arm and to the locking element so as to be movable between a first condition permitting the locking element to reciprocate along the guide and a second condition bearing against the guide and canting the locking element into frictional engagement against the guide.

Adjustable pliers wrench

A protective cover for protecting a read side of an optical disk, the protective cover including a substantially planar body being transparent and having a center hole, an outer edge and a generally planar annular surface extending between the outer edge and the center hole. A circumferential engagement structure is coupled to the outer edge of and completely encircles the planar body for engaging an outer edge of the optical disk.
